Synder: I think Superman is broken from a movie standpoint, and I think it needs to be fixed. I think he is the biggest Superhero on the planet. He is the why of all superheroes, the father of every superhero. And when I think about the fact they are making movies about much less popular heroes, it just feels like the world's out of balance. I mean, they can a Thor movie work, but not Superman? It's like we've all lost our minds!
I really hope we can make a 'cool' Superman movie. I mean, when Chris and Debbie and I went to lunch, I have to admit that before I was apprehensive.
Emma: Yeah, I said to Zack 'I'm not really sure about this', but we decided to go and hear what they had to say. And we both left feeling like this was a great way to make him relevant.
Snyder: Yeah I didn't need to hear much before I just decided 'Okay, this is the right way to do it.' But I think it's so needed that it's going to be hard. And i'm a fan of the character, I want him to be awesome.
I think Henry, other than being a good looking guy, he's also really manly, which I like. And he's got this innocence and a kindess to him which I feel is important for the character. Just enough that he's not soft but you can imagine him being kind and I think that's a good quality.
