LOL. I just thought some of you might enjoy the following tweets from your favorite scooper... :oldrazz:

So let me get this straight, they just dumped the entire DC slate in an uneventful press release. Just like that?

Umberto Gonzalez @elmayimbe · 24m 24 minutes ago

MARVEL is a behemoth, a brand with it's own autonomy. DC is nothing more than a house slave to its Time Warner master. Game over folks.

Guys, I'm good with the DC news, lots of elephants to bag over the next few years but the underwhelming lack of showmanship is just sad.

Umberto Gonzalez @elmayimbe · 7m 7 minutes ago

Um hello, New York Comic Con ended not even 72 hours ago. You would think they would make some sort of noise with fans.

Umberto Gonzalez @elmayimbe · 4m 4 minutes ago

An investor call? Are you kidding me? Really?

will someone get this hothead outta here

Yeah, there was no "showmanship" with announcing Marvel's biggest star being in a new film with ties to a controversial story from the books. But WB/DC gets crap for this?

It's Chinatown, Jake.

so JL Parts 1 and 2!

WW!!

Flash!!

Aquaman!!

Green Lantern!!

And.......Cyborg!!

surprised about Cyborg, but somehow I have a feeling they'll use that movie to introduce the Titans. which will set up another franchise.

but.......no standalone Superman sequel or Batman film?? :(

Mixed feelings on the list for me. Happy to see 2 Justice League movies, Flash, Aquaman, Lantern and Wonder Woman on the list. Couldn't care less about Cyborg and can't stand Shazam. Ezra Miller is a big time disappointment for me, seems alot of people around here like him but I think he's a pretty mediocre actor and no matter how you slice it there were better options, you can't tell me that's the best actor they could have gotten.

I also think this trends towards alot of people on here being right about them using Wally and John as Flash/Lantern. Ezra makes more sense as Wally West and if they use Wally it's pretty much a given they'll use John. If it ends up being Wally and John my interest in the Justice League movies will drop substantially.

I like that we're getting these characters on screen for the first time but casting has always been a huge factor for me and to be honest this Justice League cast is very underwhelming so far. I don't have a problem with every choice, I'm fairly positive about Affleck/Gadot/Momoa but even with those and now Ezra they certainly passed on a TON of better actors.

Mixed feelings.

You know the funny part. NYCC had not even ended 24 hours ago when they announced RDJ in Cap 3.

Some details on Aquaman

TheAquamanShrine @AquamanShrine · 23m 23 minutes ago
We've been told that 2018's AQUAMAN starring Jason Momoa will also feature Mera, Orm, Black Manta and THE TRENCH!

Eh Maybe has always been a ****ing *****ebag and Faraci is a joke who wont recuse himself from reviewing his friends movies.

Lovely, replied to Faraci calling him out on his B.S. about the annoucements -- and he replied "Who are you, and why do I care? Go away."

Classy guy, real classy.

If you tell him he is part of Feige payroll, he will lose his ****. Oh lawd.

I am truly bewildered by the negative reception this news is getting.

Why didn't WB make a huge deal out of this? Hm. Probably has something to do with the fact that the first film in this line-up, Batman v. Superman, is still 1.5 years away. Half of these projects don't even have screenwriters or directors yet. Why would WB spend money on a huge announcement when half of these projects and release dates are subject to change?

WB makes a huge announcement laying out their DC projects for the next FIVE YEARS, and people's immediate reaction is "Well why didn't they do it like Marvel?" ****ing ridiculous. Damned if they do, damned if they don't.

I think you got it mixed up. But they both have huge egos that need puncturing.

They will always complain, it can't be helped.

I think that much of the list just announced is very subject to change. First, the DC property films absolutely hinge on the success of BVS. Perhaps "Shazam" has a chance at getting made if BVS tanks but doubtful.

What's most interesting to me is that we can presume that Batfleck is attached to JL 1&2. That would make his run at Batman (including BVS) 3 films which, IMO, means he would be highly unlikely to return for a solo outing post 2019.

All hail the Warrior King of Atlantis!!!!

And let's remember the time frame we are working with here. There is a lot of time before things are totally locked in and much is subject to change re: release dates.

I don't mind Momoa as Aquaman. He's can fit with Ben as Batman, Henry as Superman, and Ray as Cyborg.

Ezra and Gal though. Ugh.

To be fair, that was a leak by a journalist. Marvel has not said anything officially.
