MOS is a hard nut to crack with how it is received. It did fairly well for reboot in the box office. Reception wise it is very mixed but you look at home sales and it did better then Iron Man 3 which made nearly double MOS.

I feel people are ok with MOS and are more on the positive side but they would like a better sequel and it looks like Batman V Superman will do just that. The only real problem MOS had was the screenplay sucked and the fact Goyer is gone and Terrio is in is a big improvement.

I honestly think there is this massive conspiracy against WB, DC and Zack Snyder. It involves some SHH members, Devin Faraci, a bunch of movie critics and some other people from the film industry.
That's reading a bit too much into it.

Everyone has their biases and preferences.

Goyer is still involved with Batman v Superman. He is serving as an executive producer on the film.

Heard people say this before, and it's just ridiculous.
This anti-DC/WB "bias" some of you are commenting on has nothing to do with a conspiracy and everything to do with the fact that a lot of people feel their film output has been lackluster. It's simple as that.

I can agree with this and it's a fair assessment. In many ways, Man of Steel, especially with the Superman character, broke new ground and the decisions made in the film were kind of targeted towards a certain tone and audience, especially in age. You can see how all the Marvel-movies have a wider appeal, especially towards children while WB drew their line in the sand and practically settled on a direction that works for them, which is a tone built for a more mature audience.

In a reboot, MoS was kind of the experiment movie. Nobody knew what type of reaction the movie was going to receive, but judging by some of the decisions, I think they had a slight idea in what type of reactions was going to follow and I'm talking about the negative ones. In many ways, I think for the most part, they got the initial reactions they wanted for this Universe to work. In a weird way, negatives aren't ALWAYS a bad thing judging by how you perceive it.

Now, they have their brand and with guys like Terrio on board, they can knock BvS; DCCUniverse out of the park and fix the mistakes made in MoS while building on the many GOOD things that came from it.

I remember when conspiracies were discussed at school. The teacher in charge of the class said that for some people, they believe in conspiracies because its their minds way of trying to make sense of something they are struggling with, so then a conspiracy is formed in their mind and they cling to it tenaciously. Its just how some people are.

I don't agree with this at all. What about Man of Steel was geared to a "mature" audience? There wasn't anything smart or subversive about the film, it just had a dour tone and a dark color palette.

I've seen more than one person say that around here so yeah, it would make sense.

I really like this! When the DC movie slate was announced you were one of the first people I thought of and how you must be tremendously excited - and also about the Hot Toys because there are going to be so many eventually with the DC movie superheroes.

Warners HBO announcement made Netflix's stock drop almost $100 dollars a share, that **** cray

Hopefully some DC properties get developed on HBO

What WB/HBO news?

It was announced that HBO will launch a standalone online streaming service next year to make hit shows available to people who do not subscribe to cable television. In response Netflix is facing growing competition in the domestic market, with rival Time Warner's HBO to launch an online streaming service in the US in 2015.

That's cool, but Netflix will still be much more popular. There's juts so much more to watch on Netflix than there is on HBO GO. Hell, if anything, Amazon Prime is the better deal now, cause they have an almost identical movie selection to Netflix, they have most of the popular HBO shows, and then they have TONS of tv shows.

I already have all three, though.

That's true about Netflix. As industry insiders pointed out, they have a much more diverse collection of videos than HBO.

I have Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime so I'll probably be getting the HBO service too.

That's because the studios supply the content for them. Netflix will always be more diverse unless each studio creates their own streaming services for their content.

Still, having HBO GO have it's own streaming service without subscription is fantastic.

Now watch, the cable companies will come out with a special to customers that says if you stay with us, we'll slash your HBO price in half and you can still have HBO GO. Just watch....

I'm sure they will do something, as ultimately profit is all that matters when it comes to big business. I see companies around the world doing what you said to entice customers to stay with them regularly.

To the credit of most websites who repeatedly criticized WB/DC over their lack of a plan and lack of a WW movie, they have run extremely positive pieces about the DC movie slate being revealed over the past 24 hours. Nice to see the press coverage turn toward WB/DC. Pretty much every place apart from Devin's site seems to be overwhelmingly positive about this.

TASM fans used to say the same. When others don't like what they like, they're willing to believe anything except the most simple and likely scenario. Some just don't like what they see is all.

Me too. A lot of "critics" and review sites news sites etc are in the tank for Marvel. Maybe they're hoping to get some exclusives from them or some perks etc.?

Just one example from today..http://www.aintitcool.com/node/69144
