roach, do these sort of NDA breaches ever really result in the consequences that they supposedly threaten? Like, $5 mil is a lot. Is it more about tying these people up legally for a while as punishment but eventually it gets dropped?

Usually no one breaks NDAs because no one is stupid. However an NDA is a contract and it's not something to do in Hollywood. It would not be hard for WB to figure out who snitched.

Seems off. Why would they make a female Robin, when they could just use Batgirl if they wanted a female sidekick/hero? Or even Catwoman though she's an anti-hero.

Just saw Ayer's Fury. Great film. Love it. As long as Ayer rewrites the script to Suicide Squad, I'm sold. Suicide Squad's gonna rock.

so it looks like Malone is Robin! **** yeah, sounds awesome as long as Dick is Nightwing

I really hope Carrie Kelly isn't in this film. I'm giving Snyder the benefit of the doubt and hoping that his love for Dark Knight Returns is only lending him inspiration and he isn't silly enough to actually take literal elements from that story.

If you're going to adapt Dark Knight Returns and make that be the jumping off point for the DCCU, then how about we just go fully off the farm and make Superman a Russian or have Dick Grayson be a vengeful godlike presence or whatever the hell he was in Dark Knight Strikes Again.

Haven't seen Fury, but I loved End of Watch.

Not true.

there's a report at Variety that Malone may be Robin, why would Variety of all sources report that if it was ********?

Variety, Hollywood Reporter and everyone else are sourcing the same article from yesterday where the guy reporting speculated that Jena Malone was Robin because she was in Detroit and had dyed her hair red.

Could she still be Robin? Sure. But is the entire reporting based on anything other than speculation so far, nope. Even the THR and Variety stories are more inquiries than actual reporting. Their headline is not "Jena Malone is playing Robin" which is how they break stories, their headline is "Is Jena Malone playing Robin?"

why the hell would they report that if they thought it was complete bull, there's something to this.

those publications don't typically report on rumors, this is rare

If this is true, they're drawing a little too much from TDKR for my own tastes.

I shall keep an open mind.

This is how they report when they actually have the facts: http://variety.com/2014/film/news/batman-superman-cyborg-ray-fisher-1201163390/

They reported on this because it came from an NBC reporter who speculated that yesterday. Not through their sources, or their agency sources.

Malone is in BvS confirmed. Awesome!

I just watched TDKR part 1 and 2 last night, so I'm pumped as **** to see Carrie Kelly.

Carrie Kelly is ****ing awesome, i see her being used in place of Tim Drake. Dick Grayson will already be Nightwing, Barbara can be Oracle, and Carrie can be Robin.

Perfect.

If Malone is Robin, that's another piece of perfect casting.

Dick and Tim are two of my favorite characters, but Carrie is also awesome, and I think she makes perfect sense for a modern Robin.

They can even use the classic costume and it won't seem weird on her because she's a woman, not a little boy.

Get up to date buddy. The Hollywood Reporter just confirmed that Malone has joined the cast. If you're done wasting your time trying to prove me wrong, let's talk about the casting..

Malone is in the movie. Most likely as Carrie Kelly. And it's going to be awesome.
