Those are all great choices. Haven't ever considered Bardem but that could be quite interesting. I still wouldn't mind seeing Brad Pitt take on the role.

I haven't seen McConnaghey in anything recent, but I guess he must be pretty good because I keep seeing his name.

Haha...the first thing I read was bring back the SNYDER SLOMO...lol :woot:

You know...I really wondered about that after having watched 300 again. I was surprised the action was so fast pace and there was NO SLOMO. I don't know if I want slomo like in 300 back, but he could have slowed some shots down. For instance the shot where Supes saves the guy falling out of the helo. He did a cool little flip to get him, but it's a blur of red unless you pause it and slow it down. It's shots like that that should be slowed, but not the whole thing. So...I'm saying...ONLY BRING A LITTLE OF SNYDER SLOMO!!!! :woot:

That would have been great to see in slow motion.

I did like the zoom-ins. The part where Superman and Zod are battling, Superman throws a punch, and the camera zooms in on the attempt. I like that shot. And even when they crashed in the train station and the camera zooms in on Superman tackling Zod to the ground.

A good mix of the techniques is what I'm hoping for.

Somewhat unrelated, but MM was awesome for the 6 or so minutes he was in The Wolf Of Wall Street.

I could see MM as Lex. But to be honest, after this Pheonix rumor, anyone else would be second best to me.

Same. JP has been my TOP choice for Lex for the longest time now.

Mine too. Although, I had given up on him until this article gave me hope. Whenever talks of Luthor casting came up, there was always one person that mentioned how ideal he would be and I always agreed. But people would quickly dismiss it because it seemed so unlikely. I didn't even think of him when this latest round of Lex casting came up for that reason. He's always been one of those "too good to actually happen" castings.

If he's not cast, I say there will be a pox on the house of the one who wrote that article and renewed my once-dead hope!

My thoughts too. I watched that and was like damn that was cool...in slow motion, but you can barely see it when the film is running at normal time.

I like all the action in the movie. Those were highlights for me. The music also really brought it home. The scene in train station is really cool because you can see Zod floating in the air for a second before Supes slams him to the ground. I have a 3D TV that's pretty good, and it's during the actions scenes where the little touches stand out.

Every time I see his name suggested I keep trying to remember something recent he has been. I can't remember. Unfortunately, the last movie I watched with him in it wasn't recent and it does not make me think he is suited for Lex at all.

I love that shot because it feels like somebody in the station is watching/filming it from a distance. It feels so real.

I imagine other long shots of heat vision, etc could be cool and I wish we saw more of them.

I wouldn't mind a long shot where someone is hurdled toward the camera.

Truly Snyder just touched the surface with the action shots. There is so much more he could do without any slo-mo, but a little bit is okay...lol
I just think he fits Lex better. It's as simple as that really. Phoenix would be awesome too, obviously, so I wouldn't complain. :yay:
That's fair. I'm going to have to watch something recent to see how I feel about him now. Literally, the last movie I watched with him was Ed...lol

And yeah for getting your Gadot avatar...lol

^ Lincoln Lawyer, Killer Joe, Mud.
OMG...I did see Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix. I may have to watch it again. I do remember enjoying it, but I don't really remember MM standing out that much to me. I'll give it another go around and I'll check out the others you recommended.

Thanks! :yay:

No problem. What I like about Lincoln Lawyer is that it showed how good of an actor he really is, after slumming it in crappy rom-coms for years.

Killer Joe does get a little disturbing. I don't know what you're limit is, but be prepared.

JP's natural insanity will be pretty scene stealing

Phoenix would be a fantastic Joker.

Him as Joker. McConaughey as Lex. In the same movie. Imagine the awesomeness.

He was Nolan's first choice as Joker...he turned it down.

There is also a very good chance that he will win an oscar nomination for his work in The Dallas Buyers Club.
