what are you kidding me? I LOVE reaction video's. I still love watching the ones for the man of steel trailers, like when people tear up when Jonathon says "you are my son" or when they jump out of their seats and cheer when superman fly's or when they see superman punching Zod at the end of trailer 3#. GAAh I love em.

Yes, I know, I know. We are talking about an alien that shoots heat from his eyes and flies and fights crazy stuff. I get it. And I'm fine with most of it. I just find that freeze breath is even more unbelievable than his other powers. It just makes too little sense, even in comparison to everything else he does. And he has so many powers that I don't think he's lacking much if he goes without it. But I wouldn't be annoyed if Snyder used it. I just don't miss it if it's not included.

Really? I think it makes sense. When we purse our lips and blow, the air is colder than it is if we just open our mouths and exhale. Since Superman's lung capacity is far greater than ours, he'd do the same thing when he purses his lips, only the air he expels would be far colder and able to freeze objects.

His lung capacity has to be large, he's already shown it by being able to breathe in space.

It makes more sense than his eyes absorbing solar rays and shooting out heat-vision. Or him being able to manipulate fields of gravity around him to fly. And I'm not being snippy, but it's true!

And if he's freezing a lot, that's an insanely huge chest cavity he'd have to have in order to accommodate the expansion. He wouldn't be able to breathe in space anyways. He could just hold his breath. And why would be be able to freeze anything? His other powers come from the sun. He shoots heat from his eyes, so why freeze breath? And I knew someone would play the "his other powers are equally crazy" card, but it makes no difference to my brain. Freeze breath just won't compute.

What I'm wondering is can the MOS Superman actually breathe in space, or does he just hold his breath while up there? Either way would require some special lungs.

He could just hold his breath in space. And I can deal with the idea of special lungs, but freeze breath would require huge lungs and a huge chest cavity.

I dunno man, it just seems far-fetched imo. I can accept flight, heat vision and super-strength but this is one of Supes powers that I have a hard time accepting. It's weird I know but at least it's better than the cellophane shield he had in Superman II.

Like I said, we already have the ability to expel cold air from our mouths by pursing our lips. Superman's ability to do so would just be amplified considering his anatomy. And logically speaking, there is already moisture in the air. Once Superman expels his own cold air from pursing his lips, it would combine with that moisture and create solid ice. Think something similar to how Frozone creates his ice in The Incredibles.

How does his ability to manipulate the fields of gravity around him to fly come from the sun? Logically, that makes no sense. But we accepted in in MOS. Realistically speaking, his arctic breath makes more sense than that. If he is able to lift what he lifts without requiring abnormally large muscles, then why can't his ability to expel extreme amounts of air without requiring a large chest cavity be accepted?

Edit: And also, to even hold his breath in space for all of that time would require a large lung capacity. Especially if he's doing it while in the middle of battle, like he was while fighting Zod around Wayne's satellite. Either way he has to have a large lung capacity.
