Screw the Flash series. Aaron Paul seems to be moving towards film now so I wouldn't object to him playing Barry Allen. Cranston as Gordon. The 2 most talked about actors from Breaking Bad, on board with this shared universe? WB should get on that.

The two of them joining the DCU would generate so much buzz. I wouldn't mind Giancarlo Esposito as Martian Manhunter. Or Dean Norris as Bullock.

I'm excited about the Flash series, it's a chance for us to see a bunch of live action Flash villains, that's enough for me.

Flash will make an appearance in the Arrow show, he doesn't have his own show.

That would be nuts!

I never liked any of the Flash rogues so I don't really care.

Barry Allen will appear in Arrow and spin off into his own Flash series.

Am I wrong or did they pretty much have The Flash relegated for television?

You're not wrong at all. I don't buy for a second that a Flash movie is seriously being looked at anymore. I'm convinced a JL film is only going to have Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman in it.

Huell Babineaux as Humpty Dumpty, make it happen WB! :argh:

According to WB we're still getting a Flash movie:
For his part, Berlanti is also developing a Flash movie for Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment, with sources telling THR that the feature is being eyed for 2016. Pedowitz also noted that there is no conflict with the movie studio or DC when it comes to the TV series and feature film, as previous efforts have proven troublesome when there's such an overlap.

I'm just curious since if Shannon's casting was announced before Antje, then I would have imagined that we would have gotten an announcement for our villain for this film before this new female lead.

Whoever this mystery character is, the fact that she's being searched for and announced right after Ben, I wonder if that implies the significance of her character.

I don't know, I think it implies the weight of the actress they're trying to land for the part rather than her role in the film.

If they are trying to shoehorn Wonder Woman in here, Goyer and Snyder better have a good excuse for doing so.

They are building this for real come on Warner don't let me down.

Berlanti's green lantern is one of the worst movies I have ever seen, and that includes a nonsensical script plagued by weak characters. I am shocked that they are asking him to write the flash movie.

I read Greg Berlanti's original script for Green Lantern and it was great. It would've been a much better movie than what we got. Im convinced that all the different writers ruined it. Berlanti wasn't the problem

Can you elaborate? How was the original script better?

Did it explain how sinestro survived the attack on parallax?

i don't remember
This is all the information i could find

A few cameos include a certain mild mannered reporter from the Daily Planet, a certain college football coach with the last name of Gardner (who we are promised in the script we will see more of in the second film) and loads of other characters sure to keep fanboys orgasmic throughout.

Back to the script - The story follows the traditional Hal Jordan/Green Lantern story lines to a certain degree including the battle between Legion and Abin Sur, Abin Sur's crash landing on Earth, as well as the choosing of Hal Jordan over Guy Gardner and Clark Kent.

Parts are straight out of the Emerald Dawn series including Jordan's simulator being ripped out of the training center and flown to a dying Abin Sur and Hal Jordan going to Oa to help defeat Legion.

The major difference is in the Sinestro character arch. I don't want to give too much away but the writers were very careful to stay true to the character without blowing their load on the first film.

The other difference is also introducing Hector Hammond into the story line and making him the big threat to Earth or Gaia if you prefer.

From the first major beat of the story - that is sure to bring a tear - to the revelations at the end of the movie that easily set up prequels as well as sequels this script has it all. Also, unlike other recent superhero movies, this Green Lantern story has science fiction elements such as visiting other planets and major space battles.

It's a quick read and is a mere 109 pages but is action packed from the beginning to end. It has the potential to be bigger than Iron Man or maybe even The Dark Knight.

Here's a review

Parallax wasn't even the villain in the first script, Legion was.

I´ve seen Star Trek into Darkness and it's awesome, beautiful (spok, the captain, the villain.. the best oh karl urban was great also) and way superior to Transformers 10000 times.. but I have to disagree to those who said STID is better than MOS.. first; people know about the characters (I see no comparisson cause one is an origin film and the other movie don't have to develope the characters, so...) on STID already explained, on the other hand MOS was a new start.. second; ST fans can call it the better but I find it great but not as much as many people claimed to be.. the third act was pretty poor IMO (stID).. vfx were great on taking space ships.. has emotional charges (not as high as on MOS), talking about Sci Fi I would call STID the 2nd best movie of the summer after MOS... far far better from the rest....
P.S. can someone figure the villain actor from this movie to be Brainiac in, maybe WF or MOS3 or JL maybe... great talent from the guy..
Oh I almost forgot the blonde girl was PRETTY HOT AND SEXY WITH UNDERWEAR =)

I read it too (if you're talking about the one he wrote with Green and Guggenheim). I wouldn't call it perfect, but it was definitely "fuller", and more blockbuster-y, and just way more fun (even though every two lines out of Hal were lame clichés like "Whoa!" or "Not cool!") The final movie cut corners like there was no tomorrow.

Its a good thing they took clark kent out of the GL movie, because him not existing in the world means one less plothole... nobody helped Hal defeat parallax. If superman existed in that world he would have attacked parallax.
