I was working at a movie theater when that movie came out and had to preview it the night before release. I haven't been that embarrassed sitting in a theater since "Batman and Robin."

Magic and supernatural elements can be done in the there MOS world...it requires the same tone and seriousness that the science fiction elements did. However I don't expect them to go too deep into WW's origin.

What a waste of a great actress and a highly marketable character.
Too bad.:csad:

Do you know what happens to a Catwoman when it gets struck by lightning? The same thing that happens to everything else.

Nailed it!

The less said about Catwoman the better

I firmly believe that Catwoman is the underlying reason why WB never made a Wonder Woman movie.

You're lucky.

Umm....you're an odd fellow...:huh::grin:

Why's that?

In generalized terms (which lets face it, is how Movie execs think), WB probably saw the female superhero film as a tainted formula after that abomination.

You know, I have always wondered about that. I don't whine about it much, because I have no proof, but I wouldn't rule it out.

Sometimes, I think studios are in denial when they put out an inferior product and they look for other reasons a movie could have bombed, rather than admitting the movie was crap.

LOL true. In their eyes the movie may have been gold and the world just wasn't ready for Halle Berry in a ripped leather dominatrix outfit fighting crime.

Exactly. "The world wasn't ready" mentality. It's just like how Bryan Singer makes excuses for Superman returns. "It was targeted at women" he says. Well, ok. Why would he think that's an excuse for it doing poorly? Maybe women didn't like the lackluster romance in SR and maybe one shouldn't target Superman, a hero that can participate in action, romance, comedy, and dramatic stories, at just one group. But instead of saying "Yeah, SR wasn't the best, I messed up" he says "It was aimed at women." It's almost like blaming the audience for not liking a crappy movie.

I hope studios start to realize these errors. I think Hunger Games proved that people can enjoy female-led movies if they are actually good.
