I seriously doubt Affleck would sign on to play the character if it was a continuation of Nolan's batman.

I wouldn't put it past WB to merge those universes together, but affleck would never agree to a disaster like that.

Although I don't believe any of this in any way shape or form. The Superman movie that was more favorably received than Man of Steel by critics and some fans did this exact thing with some details non canon and being a vague sequel. Another of the many many reasons why I in no way understand how that film can be better received than Man of Steel.

I hate the idea of Batman ever retiring. I just don't think it's consistent with his character. And personally I don't want TDK being related to this new Batman. I liked Nolan's interpretation, but I want this Batman to be more like the comics and not just a member of Law & Order SVU.

Considering the very TDKT tone of MOS, I don't very much doubt the validity of this.
