I'm honestly hoping for some news on future DC projects more so than anything else at the moment.

Also there is a DC film calling BATMAN VS ROBIN that's Court of Owls inspired.

WHY THE HELL NOT CALL IT BATMAN: COURT OF OWLS??? Batman never fought Robin in the book. He and Dick had an argument but they never fought.

Wow, an entire animated movie based on this scene.

I've really hated this new continuity between the animated films now. Why make these loose adaptions instead of just straight up adapting it. Because of this New 52 continuity now we'll probably never see these stories properly adapted now, stories like

Killing Joke
Knightfall
Long Halloween
Dark Victory

Or even JL films like Crisis on Infinite Earths.

This is probably the one time which I'm going to say ditch the continuity.

Every third film a year is out of contonuity, so it's highly possible you'll get one of those adapted.

Frankly, I'd rather they do more original stories and thankfully they'll be doing one with Bruce Timm's Justice League: Gods and Monsters.

Marvel said they won. Others felt DC/WB won.

Overal, I'd say it was a draw between all the studios.

Everyone wowed at SDCC.

But as far as the announcments, BvS won bar none.

That's another problem. If it's based off that, why not call it Batman VS Nightwing? Dick is clearly Nightwing during the book and the DCAU. Damian is Robin.

In some ways it's kinda cool if you look at it like picking up a new TPB every few months. In otherways I find it to be vastly annoying. The 'continuity' is all but non existent which really hurts stories that rely on such things: Tower of Bable in particular. I mean I would have much preferred all of this stuff just be incorporated into a serialized show. I get why they don't but it's pretty annoying. Young justice didn't win over hearts and minds with some forgettable 1 hour DTV...until that simple idea is respected by the executives it's all a wash for me personally.
That and the idea that it all has to now be based on 52 like you said. Oh well.

I'm curious what they are going to do to be able to "win" comic con as Marvel have a whole panel for their big stuff. WB have what could be about 15 minutes as they already have 3 films scheduled.

This kinda sums up the entire WB vs Marvel situation in a nutshell...
They make it work.

I remember Bruce Timm saying years ago they weren't interesting in doing Hush and Long Halloween mostly because how long they were and they didn't think they could do those books justice in a like 85 minute film.

Heh, we're basing this discussion entirely on announcements. The big 3 brought it last year no doubt.

I agree with you, this is the perfect time for WB to come and make an official announcement about some 'other films' they will be releasing in years to come. I think people will be happy.

Here's my feeling. Overall Batman V Superman was the biggest announcement however Age of Ultron trailer was the best surprise due to how it was presented but the best panel was the DOFP with the entire cast involved.
