I have mixed thoughts about the official announcement of Machinima securing the rights to a three-part series revolving around the Justice League. Especially the part where its stated that Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman are much darker versions of the superheroes that people know so it should be interesting to see how Justice League: Gods and Monsters Chronicles fares when it is released in 2015.

That article has stated that the JL movie is coming out in 2018.

This is not the first article to say this.I believe EW said the exact same date a while ago.

I'll be waiting to see something from this JL 3 parter before deciding anything. I'm not a huge fan of Timm's approach to DC characters, so I'll keep my powder dry. I do wish some effort was being put into animated Superman and Wonder Woman product for consumption. We've had JL and Batman material quite enough now. Give us Superman, Wonder Wonder Woman solo shows done like YOUNG JUSTICE or THE LEGEND OF KORRA.

The last time I followed a production this close was Green Lantern and it had enough of the right pieces to be good there.
Everything seemed on track during production.

But at least I can trust that Snyder has passion for this project. Whereas Martin Campbell....idk why he was chosen for GL. It wasn't a Bond movie.

Don't be a Debbie Downer! GL didn't have a prior film to build off of, and yes, Snyder has the passion for the project which is a good thing!

I'm the last person to be a downer on this project.
I just thought about it like a sports fan who thinks watching the game is like bad luck and their team always loses when they pay attention.

I can't imagine a scenario where I'm disappointed with this film. I know myself enough to know that. It's possible, sure. But not likely.

It was a playful jab, but I do see where you're coming from. There is a lot of pressure on this film to be good - at least in the eyes of the fans. I'm not sure if Snyder and company feel that same way, but I hope they do. Even if BvS is as good as MoS, I'd be happy! In a far corner of my mind, I could imagine the possibility of me leaving the theater after seeing BvS saying, "Eh, that was alright, but not as good as I'd hoped", but I truly have faith that said scenario never ever happens! t:

The show is doing what many people wanted when it was first announced: include obscure/whacky characters and play it straight. Not sure what there is to eye-roll about.
