Hmmm... I'll have to wrap my head around that for a while. I would take him over Reynolds any day, though! As for Aaron Paul as the Flash, I think his personality is perfect. I could totally see it; however, he has kind of a block head that might look really silly in a cowl. Kind of like Kilmer with his eyes so close together in the suit.

MM isn't playing Hal Jordan. He would be 46 before they even started filming JL and almost 50 by the time a solo film got off the ground. Plenty of other roles for him though.

Am i the only one that thinks we need some bigger names to round out the rest of the Justice League?

I think for GL and Flash, WB needs to cast some actors that will get people excited.

Matthew McConaughey and Aaron Paul would get people pumped for Hal and Barry

Regarding McConaughey's age, Hal has been known to be portrayed as an older guy, and RDJ's age should be brought up. McConaughey can play younger than his age, and I don't think there's anything regarding Hal Jordan that absolutely requires for him to be a younger character.

Green Lantern done right and played straight will be the next Star Wars, mark my words. GOTG is NOT THE WAY TO DO A GL FILM. People keep saying this, and they couldn't be more wrong. Green Lantern isn't a joke. It's a space epic like Star Wars. And Hal is at the center of that world, people don't realize it, but Hal has the potential to be the next huge A-list breakout character if his story is properly showcased in a GREEN LANTERN movie trilogy. Matthew McConaughey would not be wasted on the best role in the next big space epic. If they cast a really great actor for Hal Jordan, people will be more willing to forgive the 2011 movie, and they'll be more open and able to see how awesome Hal can be.

Fine. But a GL solo movie won't be released any earlier than 2018. MM will be nearly 50 by then. And over 50 by the time a sequel comes out. Not happening.

I guess he could play zsasz in the eventual batfleck movie. But that would make him the secondary villain. Hmmm...

while it would be nice, i wouldn't hold my breath for it. if he ends up playing anything it'll probably be a villain since it seems every time they cast one of these dc roles the better actors are cast as villains. michael Shannon and jesse eisenberg (they went after joaquin phoenix and adam driver for lex as well apparently) are better actors than the actors cast as heroes so far. I'm not so sure that matt would find playing a hero all that interesting.

Oh, I thought it's about a guy writing an underwhelming movie to critics.
Sided with a proper director and other screen writers, one can make a change in style of his/her story.

i'm sorry i just don't understand how you can love that suit, it's just so awful to my eyes...the belt, the collar, the boots, the wrists... man it's bad. the classic suit is untouchable.

if i had it my way, Batman and Superman would have trunks in BvS

I remember going to a store earlier this year and seeing the New 52 costume on some Superman figures on the racks. The didnt look right to me. Its not just the collar (though that is a big part of it) but the belt, the wrists, etc. I stood there staring at the figures wishing that the classic costume returns soon. And looking at that panel, it might.
