Depending on the version of Superman it could be a time travel fight with both Batman and Dr. Manhattan. Superman would race Manhattan to the moment when he became empowered and then as a side trip, stop Joe Chill from killing Thomas and Martha.. Two birds, one time traveling stone. :oldrazz: :word:

Dr. Manhattan of course.

Dr. Manhattan vs Batman, now theres an interesting battle but I'm gonna have to give it to Batman.

"The world's smartest man poses no more threat to me than does it's smartest termite"

Ozymandius was as smart as Bruce and he had no chance.

True... But let me play devil's advocate and point out that neither was Manhattan a detriment to Ozy's plan in the least, even though the Doc pointed out the flaw in Ozy's world view, the eccentric Billionaire genius still got away with his plan, flawed and as short sighted (in comparison to Manhattan's "cosmic" view of reality) as it was.

Which, getting back to Superman and Batman is acceptable to me when it comes to a clash between them. It's muthercussing ridiculous that there are stories out there with Batsie tossing Supes around or writers using plot armor to have Bruce "win" ( Plus... It's old hat now. Yeah, when it was first done it upended expectations... NOW, after 30 plus years of it? It's actually the cliche') when there should be a much more interesting and logical way for these clashes to come to a conclusion that neither makes Superman a weakling idiot for no reason.

There.... Is that on topic enough?:cwink:

Ah... Just off the dudes girlfriend and he takes 8 years off. Plus... "ANYONE CAN BE THE GODDAMNED BATMAN", at least, that's the word on the street. Or maybe I just feel it in my bones, an' stuff? :oldrazz: :cwink: :woot:

Wasn't even his girlfriend. More like his friendzone crush.

Oh, fair enough. Although I have no idea what you're referring to.:oldrazz:

I don't think something like that has happened yet, but I can start it now.

So what joke did Batman tell Jake to make him laugh so hard?

That makes it even worse. :o

For Zod's sake... That wall crawling menace was only inactive for about a year, if that, after his chick got fridged, an he was definitely in love with her.

Cut the Marvel vs DC discussion.

You're absolutely right he was disoriented thus need to be saved. However even before he was disoriented he was getting his butt handed to him. What would been better and made him a more frighting villain is to have him over come that disorientation fast and then continue to beat the crap out of Superman.

As I said it seem to me that through much of the movie Zod did little in way of actually beat crap out of anything. He was all noise and couldn't back anything up. Faora on the other was awesome. She showed control over her powers. Watching her take out those Soldier as well as fighting Superman made her impressive and a much better villain that watching Zod.

Superman blindsided Zod with his first attack, tackling with him in superspeed before Zod could respond. There was nothing wrong with that and it tied into showing the advantage Superman had since he had adapted to Earth's sun and atmosphere. He didn't figure out how to adapt to the environment later on. Faora didn't lose her face shield, so she didn't have to deal with disorientation in her battle. Though once she lost it, she quickly succumbed the same problem Zod did.

As for Zod being frightening, this man's plan was to annihilate the human race. And based on for the last year how people complain about the destruction that took place in Metropolis, with some incorrectly saying the whole city was destroyed, he clearly did an effective job. More than just having a battle in a small town. Not to mention that he snapped after restoring Krypton became impossible and went psycho, beating Superman around and throwing him into buildings. I thought he was really good villain to start out.

If we put that scene into context we would see that Superman took Zod by surprise and broke his helmet thus giving him a sensory overload. The same thing is used against Faora when she takes a missile to the face and it breaks her helmet.

Shoot. Did all of that typing and now I saw that someone said the same thing, but quicker. :funny:

I was never able to watch Superman IV.

Superman II and Superman III were too much of a chore.

I take back what I said about the Kent farm.

Now THAT is a crack house.

That is a horrible actor for Hal. Matthew McConaughey is a great guy and great actor but I flat out don't see him as Hal Jordan. It some how doesn't feel right.

This got me thinking who could play the role. Who could bring that charm and humor but still be able to play those serious elements too. I came up with the right person. I think Mark-Paul Gosselaar would be perfect. He got the right build. He can nail the humor and charm down but also play the serious side of Hal Jordan as well.

Zack Morris as Hal? For some strange reason, I'm ok with it.

Now he isn't a better actor then MM but he fits Hal better then MM IMO.

I'm ok with this.

Zack is totally Barry. "Zack Time Out" is totally him using his super speed to slow everyone down to the point of standing still.
