GL wasn't that bad. It was far from a slam dunk, but it was also exactly what I expected especially with Reynolds as the lead.

I have seen the Flash pilot and frankly for a small broadcaster like CW and limited budget, the CGI is quite good, in fact I think excellent. You need to complain if it's on a bigger network like Fox, NBC, etc. Also, if Flash is on big screen, the CGI effects will be quantum leap in quality.

The cgi effects were the only thing I had no gripes at all about. Let's worry about the pace and acting a bit more. Gustin was a bit more boring than I expected, but can still see him doing well as the series progresses. Patton was pretty awful :( I suppose it has to do with the character she is playing. However it is just the pilot. Let's see where the show goes :o edit: I don't want to sound too harsh as there is potential. Some of the down side is just the CW network in general. It's just how their shows get made.

It'd be in the same style as Farscape or Star Trek TNG. Much of the show could be set on board a ship like in Green Lantern TAS. It'd be tough to pull off, but if approached like Farscape or Star Trek were, it could work.

i thought of star trek, but the original series for some reason.

i always figured pilots have less of a budget to work with than a regular series would so the cgi would probably suffer a bit. not sure how accurate that assumption is though.

really? i guess we'll have to see how it fairs as the season goes.

I think a big reason for pilots having larger budgets is to account for the trial and error that can go on in getting a show started.

Every Marvel movie so far has been Iron Man, including Iron Man. Green Lantern was DC's attempt at Iron Man.

Well, people have said that for years now about the super hero movies...Nothing tell us, for the moment, that it will not continue to succeed, as long as quality is there.

I laugh at your sig every goddamn time. I laugh so much that it hurts. How could someone come up with such a brilliant scene?! I cry at the thought of never seeing that scene play out on film.

you mean that every movie marvel has made was as good as iron man?

I mean that every Marvel movie was about an irresponsible playboy jokester who learned responsibility in the face of necessity; the established personality of the character virtually ignored in order to meet that aim.

Green Lantern was totally about that formula. Fortunately, it failed, and illustrated why DC attempting to emulate Marvel's cinematic tone moving forward would be a mistake.

I'll admit Captain America as the exception to that rule.

Thor: TDW was worse than the IM sequels imo.

My only beef with TDW was how anticlimactic and abrupt it seemed.

There is really no comparison between Marvel and DC in the present. The former has an incredible shared cinematic universe with some of the best superhero films ever made. The latter has... Man of Steel.

Because they are barely starting out.

The latter also has two of the best superheroes of all time.

Filtered.

Flash and Martian Manhunter?

Clooney is still really sorry about that whole Bat-nipple thing. In fact, he thinks that’s why this is his first Con. ”I think since my Batman I was disinvited from Comic-Con,” he joked. “I met Adam West, I was like ‘Hey, I’m really sorry.’ We did a fist bump, and I was just like, ‘Hit me. Sorry about the nipples on the suit.’ [He said,] ‘It’s okay, old chum.’”

So Clooney was the one who singlehandedly designed and created the Batsuit.

I knew it!

I read somewhere that Clooney has said that if you see him on the street and tell him you saw Batman and Robin he will pull out his wallet and hand you $8 on the spot.
