its WB, DC has no creative control over what is put on the big screen.

Perhaps things would be a lot different if they were given their own creative division for live action movies.

I wish this would happen, DC Studios with Geoff Johns (or some other awesome DC comics knowledgeable guy) as the Kevin Feige for DC please.

You can count me among them. I enjoyed Man of Steel a lot. But I dare say you would agree with me that it's unfair to compair it to the MCU.

Right, one is barely starting out and the other is already established. My beef is with the way you worded your answer, but it's all gravy.

Sure, although I think for DC it might be good to get someone from DC Comics itself...Bruce Timm can direct Justice League ala Joss Whedon. :p

Just create a subdivision of WB called DC Studios, have it all run by Bruce Timm, Geoff Johns, Paul Dini, and David Goyer as story consultants/script advisers and executive producers, and tell them to have at it. Let them attract directors like Guillermo Del Toro, Darren Aronofsky, David Fincher, The Wachowski Siblings, Jonathan Nolan, and so on. No one, I mean no one, would ever touch that studio.

It sounds so good I can taste it! Minus Goyer.

Amen! This seems like it would make sense...I mean if they really wanted to "compete" with Marvel Studios that is. But maybe they just don't have that mindset. Does anyone ever really know what is in the minds of Studio Executives?

WB will never give DC $4 billion (or any amount really) and say "go create your own DCCU". WB wants credit for DC's success.

Remove Goyer and Geoff Johns and that would be great.

Also no to Darren Aronofsky. Amazing filmaker, but have you read his Batman Begins pitch?

You mean like Disney/Marvel? You really can't talk about the MCU without Disney entering into the conversation. I think as long as WB is raking in the piles and piles of money from a well established DCCU, I doubt they'd care that "DC Studios" would be the main name on the headlines. They just need a Feige-type exec to get things organized.

Marvel & DC should merge and confuse all the fanboys. What would they do?!

Geoff Johns is the man...

Goyer is a great ideas guy he would be a great addition. The lineup is perfect.

Bruce Timm and Dini are great but they gave us very very flawed versions of the Green Lantern and Flash

I wouldn't mind if Grant Morrison was involved.

Personally I'd love to see a Wonder Woman film directed by Del Toro if they base it on Azzarello's glorious run or by Doug Liman if it's more "grounded".

I love Geoff Johns as a comic writer, but I've found the majority of his input into the TV and Movie world to be extremely mixed.
