It's so overused in the geek world now, I almost laugh every time I see it.

I think it's ridiculous that people would actually have a reaction like this to a tv show or movie.

The only times that I felt something to have any kind of cringe to it would be when I'm seeing it in person.

I thought her acting was bland but did cringe at a few scenes because of how wooden she was. I really don't care if it offends anyone or they dislike the definition myself. Toughen up BvS

I've cringed at bad acting before. I've been involved in productions with bad acting in person, and it is a fairly accurate response to such stimuli.

Personally it just made me think she was a bit boring too watch. No big deal, maybe she will improve. It was just the pilot after all, but I guess we can get all melodramatic if y'all want to go that route.

I know, right? My opinion of Gotham just keeps sinking lower and lower, pretty unfocused and kinda sloppy show. Flash is leaps and bounds above being on par with the likes of it.

One of the problems with Gotham is that its having trouble finding the right tone. Its a bit all over the place when it comes to that aspect, lots of characters and Gotham is very dark (some say too dark) but the character-writing is sometimes excellent and other times very weak. I thought the first two episodes were pretty good (with a few exceptions) but the third episode felt stiff, and was pretty average. As for the Flash, it will be interesting to see how it retains its audience and what the ratings are like?
