BvS All Things Superman and Batman: An Open Discussion - Part 99

I just wish they would've stuck with the Begins suit for TDKT. It was near perfect

And yeah the Nolan movies are the best superhero movies ever made IMO, i have confidence that BvS will be in the same league as TDKT. Terrio has me confident

It looked okay but it still (to me) looked hot, heavy and cumbersome. very restricting on the actor's mobility and flexibility. maybe not as bad as the Burton costumes but almost.
I remember laughing at Keaton not being able to run or turn his head in that thing.

I just picked up this action figure from a local toy store that sells old toys.. I was so psyched to see this figure there, i had to get it. It's the only action figure i'll ever need. I may end up getting The Joker and Robin from the same line, but that's all i'll ever need.

Not gonna lie. Little jealous. I'm waiting on the DC Collectibles BTAS figure which DC confirmed is happening.

Still...it made for a couple of really cool shots.

I am always critical of many, many aspects of BATMAN 1989, but I have to give it props for some great Batman moments and imagery. The end with Keaton on the tower looking at the signal, the skylight entrance and Vale rescue, the bell tower fight, and that moment of Keaton turning... All amazing.

Kane, have you ever done a side by side gif comparison of the two Keaton films and TDKT? Like Keaton on top of the building and Bale on the bridge in TDKR, Nicholson and his henchmen, ledger and his, Michelle and Ann in costume, ect.?

I love the scene when Keaton is driving the Batmoblie with Vicki to the cave and from the beginning of it in the forest to the end when Batman says "you have something" or something like that and you see him lift his cape up. The imagery throughout that is just beautiful with Batman.

Jena Malone (carrie Kelley?) concept art by Huy Dinh

I can see Jena Malone as Harley Quinn. I think she shows traits in both Sucker Punch and Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

I understand Jena isn't Robin but I just hate all these rumors that she could be. Nothing against Carrie Kelly but I don't want her in any Batman movie unless it's a Dark Knight Returns adaption. Only Robin should be Dick (who's Nightwing now) or Tim.

Are you serious with this? Brothers and a Uncle? It's bruce with Alfred, Dick, Tim and Damian.

By son I meant Damian. But I think it's weird how the rest of them are drawn so similar to Bruce that they look like their related to him.

T'was ever thus brother. I think it was to emphasize The Dynamic Duo's Parent/child relationship, though if memory serves, Pre-crisis wasn't Jason originally a blond or a red head? I know he had his continuity messed with in some way, including having his own Robin suit that was different in design from Dick's long before Tim.

I refuse to believe this Robin thing. Not out of sexism but because the other Robins deserve a film adaption more. Dick should be Nightwing by now and Jason should be "dead" but that still leaves Tim Drake and he's a pretty popular Robin. Both Dick and Tim are more popular than a lot of comic book A-listers themselves. I myself have Nightwing above Batman on my list of favorite superheroes and it wouldn't surprise me if others here have either of them listed above at least some of the JLA members or other comic characters who have been featured on film.
I'm probably just getting worked up over nothing though.

Malone isn't even cast in this film. It was a set visit. God damn it, i'm tired of people talking about her dyed hair.

Yeah, she dyed her hair red. That's all. That in no way, shape, or form, says she's in the movie. The conclusion jumping that people do when it comes to this film can get downright absurd.

Yeah Jason was blonde (he later dyed his hair black) and had a costume similar to Tim Drake's before he officially became Robin.

It's not conclusion jumping. A lot of "what if" scenarios get discussed for fun, even though the likelihood of it happening is not high. Something to do while waiting on official news and the film itself. Seems reasonable to me. If people were stating it as fact, that would be a different story though.
