look at this ****. he's saying WW is Kal's sister or cousin.

Roven confirmed today that WW is a demigod, the daughter of Zeus. They're going with the New 52 version

Jett will now claim that Nolan whispered the Kryptonian stuff in his ear late one night... but Zack changed the plans during filming. :o

He's trolling, maybe? I mean ...
I know!

Jett posted the interview where Roven confirms WW is a demigod, and then minutes later he's saying WW is definitely Kryptonian, definitely Kal's sister or cousin

he may blow it off saying it was a joke. But it's obviously not a joke, he was fed bad information and passed it off as fact.

lol! yeah it's kinda hard to get outta this one, it just reflects bad on BOF.

I respect Jett and BOF, but this is irresponsible considering his followers believe everything he says. If i had a popular Batman website,i wouldn't be saying this stuff unless i knew it was 100% fact

He's just trolling that JoeyMcJoeyBits guy.

He's definitely trolling. I think he is rubbing it in the faces of all the fanboys who freaked out about the possibility of her being Kryptonian more than anything else.

He should come out and admit he was wrong though.

That's some pretty ****** quality trolling. That kind of behavior is unprofessional and irresponsible when you run a website that is known to report movie rumors

Especially when you consider that he actually believed that WW was Kryptonian in the past, and lead a bunch of people to believe that. I think he was just fed some bad information and it blew up in his face. It happens to all of the people in the movie scooping/movie news game. What separates the good reporters from the bad ones is the way they handle being proven wrong.

He doesn't really care anymore. He's a has-been, and he knows it.

If he's actually trolling, my respect for him as a movie reporter has gone to 0%

That 8 year period between Batman and Robin and Batman Begins was the golden age of BOF, and i hate to be mean, but they've become irrelevant since the Nolan trilogy began. I remember tons of rumors from them regarding TDK and they were all bs.

BOF is a good website if you like the site and want to read what Jett has to say. It's a bad website if you're looking for scoops or insight into upcoming movies.

What if Zeus is also Kryptonian? That our idea of gods was inspired by the Kryptonian settlers set up in MOS?

/Not jett

WB used BOF to build positive awareness towards Batman Begins within the fan community. Coming off B&R, they had to use everything at their disposal to build good will towards their reboot. Once WB had a billion-dollar franchise on their hands, BOF went back to being just another irrelevant fan website.

The difference between BB-era BOF and TDKR-era BOF are night and day. The site has become increasing irrelevant on the news front because, quite frankly, the studio doesn't need it anymore. Hasn't needed it in a while.

Honestly I always thought this was the initial seed for the expansion of all humanoids on Earth. The "distant alien relatives" not unlike what was shown in Prometheus.

People can make fun of it all they want, but I think it's still a plausible scenario given the MOS prequel comic which was penned by Goyer himself. I can't imagine it's by coincidence Supergirl was set up to arrive at that particular time in our history.

But since we're handing out crazy ideas; Supergirl's blond, guess who else from Themyscira happens to be a blond as well? :p

I recently went back and read all the old articles about Batman 5, all the way up to around when Bale was cast. Pretty damn interesting.

That site is a time capsule. I'll always respect Jett for his work during that period of time.

this Kryptonian WW stuff just bothers me, not even what Jett is saying, just the idea of it. The idea of her being a weaker version of Superman with strong ties to his origin doesn't work for me . The trinity all have very unique backstories that don't need to be tied to each other.

The idea of Zeus being a Kryptonian doesn't work for me either.

Wonder Woman's world is magical, not scifi. That changes her origin too much for me.

What they should do is tie Aquaman and Wonder Woman together. They both have strong ties to Greek mythology. I wouldn't mind if Atlanna and Aquaman were descendants of Poseidon, and WW would be the daughter of Zeus. That would effectively make WW and Aquaman related.. I wouldn't be surprised if the two know at least know of each other before the events of Batman v Superman.

Does Aquaman has any ties to greek mytholog? I mean, other than the city of Atlantis being a greek story.

The Atlantean city in which Aquaman was born is called Poseidonis, and I think movie Atlantis will have strong ties to Poseidon. Perhaps Aquaman is in possession of Poseidon's trident

A man ****ed a fish and then Aquaman was born.

Best origin story ever.

Was interested to read the latest reports about Batman v Superman. Surprised that Nolan is still involved, since the press releases from Warner Bros didnt mention him. Not too happy with the New 52 Wonder Woman origin; makes me wonder if DC Comics are really going to revert back to Pre-New history next year in the comic books? As for Ben Affleck, seems Charles Roven is trying to stare down some of the earlier reports (perhaps a way to try and reverse the negative publicity?)

Actually, Affleck was approached first to direct MoS, makes sense that he would be approached following Argo again. No idea what negative publicity you are referring to, any negative backlash about Affleck's casting died completely after Gone Girl.

There has been lots of negative reports about BvS; everything from Affleck (which still exists), to Gadot's casting/Eisenberg's casting. Even Snyder directing. Most people I see talking about BvS pin their hopes on Terrio scripting, one of the positives. As for the interview with Roven, it sounds like its much more a Batman-centric story in BvS; I noticed he didnt talk much about Cavill as Superman, except to reference him against Affleck's Batman. It makes me ponder whether its true, that being a younger more inexperienced Superman, they are going to kill Superman in BvS against Metallo/or Doomsday.
