I really doubt Sara could take out Oliver in a fight, even Nyssa couldn't.

I really want to see her fight Diggle though, and how ridiculous it would look for the biggest guy on the show to be 'put down' by one of the smallest girls. Might as well continue to drag Diggles character through the mud.

Well in that preview she's fighting oliver AND Diggle and she isn't losing. I think she could take oliver on and beat him.

Size really doesn't matter in a fight, I've seen tons of small/skinny guys take on people twice as big as them and come out on top

There's no indication that she has superior fighting skills to Oliver, especially if Oliver physically overpowered Nyssa with ease.

And size, mass and physical strength does matter to an extent. Pretty sure that strength helped Oliver lock Nyssa into a submission hold in that fight.

Strength matters to an extent. But I think technique trumps all. I've been shown techniques, where it doesn't matter how big your opponent is, you lock his arm in a certain position, he'll cry like a little b**ch.

Doesn't matter how big your muscles are. Once you are put into a position where you can't exert your strength, you are done.

they released a pic of the suicide squad.... they look pretty lame :o

Well come next weeks episode, I'm sure we'll have a better understanding of her skill set compared to oliver.

Strength is important, I'm recall once in a bar there was this massive guy with arms the size of tree trunks arm wrestling a bunch of people and finishing off with ease, until this French dude who was a bag of bones who you could wrap your hand around his bicep came in and arm wrestled the big guy and crushed him, quite a sight

I kind of get a Smallville Justice League vibe from the Suicide Squad. The only one that stands out is Deadshot. And the others wear different colored leather jackets. They would look better if they'd wear some proper military gear. Which they hopefully will, once deployed on a mission.

Suicide squad: first look

Diggle is part of the Suicide Squad?

Are they going to be against team arrow or kind of doing the same work as them, so they clash on that aspect.

Isn't the Suicide Squad just undertaking high-risk black ops missions for the government? I don't think they will be clashing against Team Arrow. Unless the government decides to hunt down heroes.

Oh true. I don't really know much about the Suicide Squad.

They look lame, to be honest. Looks like regular folks. Deadshot looks okay though. But as a team, they look way too regular

I really hope Bronze Tiger and Shrapnel get an upgrade. They are going on high-risk missions, you don't go on those dressed in jeans and a leather jacket. I can see Diggle putting on some black ops gear. Tiger and Shrapnel need something similar, but slightly individualized.

Completely agreed...

and Deadshot looks okay, but they need to give him the damn mask already! He does not look nearly as cool without it!

I don't know what you all were expecting regarding their look. They look exactly as they should look.

Not to just wear jeans and leather jackets. Especially since they are supposed to undertake high-risk black ops missions for the government. I just expected them to dress the part.

I still hope that is just them in their civilian gear when they first get introduced to each other, and that they get some decent gear once they are on their mission.

Won't happen. :p

I am honestly not expecting them to be dressed comic accurately, just to dress the part of a Squad that does high-risk missions. Pick 4 random G.I. Joe characters, and they'd already be a better looking Suicide Squad.

yeah the more i think about it, you're right. i just thought they'd make a bigger deal out of the suicide squad. the story will be cool, but for some reason i was expecting a more comic book influenced direction on the Squad. Irrational for me to be disappointed, but yeah they still do look underwhelming

They are going to evolve we all know how this show works.

I thought they were testing out how she does until they went straight full throttle. She knocked out Diggle in the preview. And then I figured she'd go head on with Oliver later.

If Walllar threatened him...He would be. Remember she does know about Oliver/Arrow and remember Lyla is connected to her. Any of those things would get him involved. And if she knows something about the H.I.V.E. and his brother's death..he's in.

I don't know what you all were expecting regarding their look. They look exactly as they should look.
Agreed. But I think for people it's that they aren't posing in awesome ways. They are just kind of standing straight, side by side in a row. Not very like...Wow, you guys are cool pose. They aren't posed like they are prepped for action.

Schedule for the next 5 episodes

Feb 26- Time of Death
March 5- The Promise
March 19- Suicide Squad
March 26- Birds of Prey
April 2- Deathstroke

So, Felicity-centric Clock King episode with Robert Knepper.

Then, Flashback-centered episode like the Odyssey from last year.

Then, Suicide Squad with at least one fan-favorite recurring character and engaging guest stars.

Then a Birds of Prey reunion with over a year to plan how to approach the Huntress's return.

Then Deathstroke.

That's a very strong back-end schedule. Each episode has a unique strength to drag people to their TV screens to see it, and we still have the finale afterwards.

I wouldn't be surprised if they started arc welding some more of the plotlines together, like having the Squad investigate Blood or Huntress tracking down a Deathstroke lead.

Am I the only one who thinks that Dinah (the mother) may die this season? A lot of us were speculating that someone is going to die this season by Slade's hands. Slade (on the island) is angry because of the death of Shado. Shado died because Oliver "choose" Sara instead of Shado. Dinah (the mother) was brought back this season, we are seeing her reconect with her family (on the family dinner, kissing Lance on the cheek). By killing her Slade could make Sara feel how it hurts to loose someone you love, if he did that in front of Oliver, Oliver would feel guilty because he couldn't stop him, they could make Laurel find out Sara is the Canary and the lost of her mother put her on a track to training and it would affect detective Lance too.

This way they would affect half the cast with her death and the character wouldn't be missed that much.
