By killing her Slade could make Sara feel how it hurts to loose someone you love, if he did that in front of Oliver, Oliver would feel guilty because he couldn't stop him, they could make Laurel find out Sara is the Canary and the lost of her mother put her on a track to training and it would affect detective Lance too.

Train towards becoming a hero? Or train towards taking vengeance on her sister, who she already blames for all of the misfortune happening in her life?

^^That's up to the writers LOL

all I'm saying is that they will have a reason for her to start training wich most ppl assume is Sara dying and a lot of users are assuming someone close to the team will die because Slade wouldn't be too much of a threat if he didn't kill anyone.

I'm speculating that this way they can have a death that affects half the cast and it's not one of the regulars.

TBH, them having Slade kill Laurel does almost the same thing.... The overall show story won't miss her, Slade makes Sara find out what it feels like to lose a loved one and Oliver is forced to watch the woman he once loved be murdered before his eyes.

We then get no more badly written story arcs with a character that most people have lost interest with, but have a death that will impact the characters in the show.

If they were to kill Laurel, Dinah, or Sara, I just hope they manage to make the death somewhat awesome. There's that TV Tropes idea of the Alas, Poor Scrappy death, where you give an unpopular character a sympathetic and strong exit scene that manages to redeem them in the eyes of their haters.

Although I know a lot of ppl want, I'm almost sure they won't kill Laurel this season. They cleary said they had a plan for her, and as we all can see the plan is to bring her character down and then re-emerge as something else, wich probably will happen next season. Next season if their plan don't succed, then maybe they'll kill her, but not this season.

Maybe they thought about killing Sara in the begining, but with her good reception, maybe they changed the plans and are going for mama Lance instead. Just a theory.

A clip from the next episode:

Damn it laurel! But really the writers have got to know how much laurel is disliked right?

I think they have mentioned in one of their previous interviews on how they are aware that Laurel's character is not on everyone's favorite list as most of the show's other characters are, and how it supposedly frustrates both them and the actress about it since they feel that all that we've seen from the character is leading up to somewhere better.

They should have written her better then....

It was just a bad idea to have her start out as the girlfriend. Green Arrow and Black Canary are equals. How do you get them to be equals, when one of them has fought 5 years for his life, and the other has basic self defense lesson?

Agreed; plus, I think one of the major reasons why characters like "Felicity" were so warmly welcomed is because they presented a "different dynamic" for Oliver to be involved in with a female character where CW-Based angst wasn't at the core of his relationship with that given female character.

It's like the same reason why I thought Singer reintroducing Superman and Lois's relationship to audiences on the big screen by means of an angst/triangle/child out of wedlock without giving audiences a chance to fall in love with that given relationship was a huge mistake.

By introducing a relationship in such a angst filled way before audiences have had a chance to appreciate and love the characters for who they are as individuals and as together, you're already dooming the pair to be ignored by a good amount of viewers who don't particularly enjoy that kind of nonsense.

How is Diggle comfortable with working alongside Deadshot ? The last time I checked Diggle wanted revenge, after-all, Deadshot killed his brother.

Who says he'll be comfortable working alongside him?

The new clip with BC and GA from the the Time of Death episode looks AMAZING.

I don't think he is fully comfortable. Plus, he doesn't seem to hold as much of a grudge for Deadshot ever since he found out someone paid him to do the job.

Nobody in the Suicide Squad is ever comfortable with being there.

Slade killing Laurel would make sense, especially if Slade has a grudge against Sara too.But that seems like more than we know.

I like the idea of him going after them both. After all,Shado's dead because of Sara any way you look at it.

What Slade knows about Sara:

1 She sleeps with her sister's dirt bag bf
2 After Slade gets the dirt bag straitened out Sara shows up gets Shado killed and turns Oliver against him(the way Slade would look at it)
3 Now she is alive and sleeping with Oliver again(he will find out, he spies on Oliver and company)

After 1&2(99% 2) Slade must think Sara is the devil or at least a succubus. :woot:

After 3 he must wonder how much Oliver cares about Laurel and would most likely conclude Sara would be bothered little if at all by Laurel's death. He might even conclude Sara would be happy that Laurel is dead.

Slade would be far more likely to try and seduce Laurel to his side than to kill her. After all both of them have been hurt by Oliver and Sara.

Lmao this!!!!!:lmao:

Definitely think Slade is going to seduce Laurel than kill her in front of both Sara and Oliver... making (somehow) Sara blaming Ollie.

It'd be more cruel of him if he just turned her against them. Having her still be alive and fighting on the same side as Slade would be much more torturous for Oliver and Sara than if he simply killed her. We all know that they'd both blame themselves for it, and it'd be a constant reminder of their failure (in their minds at least).

well its also pretty bad for them both to see her happy, then heartbroken once again

It would be much worse for them to see Laurel being happy as Lady Deathstroke.

Sara: "Oliver, Slade is a monster, he is a madman, a mass murderer and he has corrupted Laurel as well."

Oliver, "But at least she is happy now."
