Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Oliver in the comics, at least pre-52, more of a "player" or whatever term you want to use, than portrayed in the show?(relatively speaking)
At least before being with Canary.

During mike grell run he pretty faithful to Dinah, until issue 10, I think by issue 60 Dinah caught cheating with this young girl.

As I recall, he only went out with that girl AFTER they had had a big fight and Dinah kicked him out. So you cannot really call it "cheating" if they weren't actually together at the time. Not to best decision in the world, but not cheating. And Oliver wasn't never really portrayed as being a "cheater" until Judd "I cannot write romance to save my live" Winick got ahold of him. A ladies man, ok maybe, but that's not the same as being a "cheater." And unfortunately other writers ran with Winick's characterization, up to and including claiming that he cheated on Dinah with Shado when in actuality Shado had raped him.

After his death I think Dinah forgive him.. at least injustice they got a happy ending

Growing # of superheroes in Starling City/Central City plays role in Oliver's end place in S3: Proto-Justice League?

Cliffhangers will become literal by episode 9 of this season: Somebody gets thrown off a cliff? Thea?

Merlyn and Oliver will come face to face very early this season: Sweet

Laurel will have a big purpose this season after Sara's death: this one's obvious. She trains to become a vigilante.

Fight with swords in episode 9: Fingers crossed for Katana costumed and in present day.

Stephen Amell wants a green arrow video game: I've always said Arkham Asylum was just the GA: Supermax script adapted into a Batman story. I would literally pay for Arkham Asylum redone as Green Arrow but have Merlyn replace Joker and have Count Vertigo replace Scarecrow.

You know, I just realized that now Oliver will have another thing in common with Barry: having to watch his mother get killed by one of his nefarious enemies.

I'm actually hoping that we'll see Barry and Oliver talk/relate about that during one of their two crossover episodes.

Also, before the series comes to a close, I actually want to see Oliver take a hand in politics as well.

Maybe in season 4 he can run for mayor..

Stopped watching this midway through S1 as couldn't take anymore of the CW teen romance taking over the show. The love triangles/squares forming and Laurel.

I've heard more positives about S2 and S3 looks interesting. Does it get better? Can I skip S1? Please tell me the CW teen soap crap goes away. Is Laurel still annoying and gets so much screen time?

This ''TEAM OLICITY'' stuff is what I fear most about jumping in.

Does anyone know when we'll see Harley Quinn in S3? I thought she was confirmed.

Ahh, that scene with Connor and Dinah after Ollie's death is one of the most beautifully drawn comics I own...I love how the art looks like a pop-art painting.

Personally, Season 1 is still my favorite season. There's a lot more going for it than just the love triangles. How about just fast forward through them?

Second season shifts the soap opera to Thea, more or less. Laurel honestly gets really annoying at one point. I like season 2 a lot. I think it's weak in the middle, though. The two things dragging it down are Laurel's plot and that they seemed to more or less run out of things to do in the flashback about halfway through. The addition of one new character is quite good, though, and is a highlight. But there's relationship aspects there too. That being said, the difference between soap opera and legitimate character development is in the execution and it's often in the eye of the beholder.

This ''TEAM OLICITY'' stuff is what I fear most about jumping in.

Season 2 doesn't really have it all that much.

It seems unlikely that you'll get more than you got in Season 2. There seems to be an embargo of some kind of her. It's unclear exactly why certain characters are off limits. I get why you wouldn't want Batman or Superman to appear. They're major characters and you don't want a competing vision. But it's not just limited to major characters. Apparently, Ted Kord and Harley Quinn are both off limits. At the same time, there's going to be two different versions of Flash and they're not stopping that. Whole thing doesn't make much sense to me. But the long and short of it is the reference in Season 2 may be as close as they're going to get.

John Stewart has my 100% approval.
Yeah same... after Hal has been introduced.

If they introduce a GL that is not Hal, i'll be seriously surprised.

Hal's link to Barry and Ollie shouldn't be ignored. If a GL is to be added, Hal is the one

The interviewer calls Sara "Black Canary", but Guggenheim himself keeps referring to her as plain Sara. Also, the Oliver/Felicity relationship seems to have progressed in the comics to where it was in the season premiere. Too bad that not all of us read the comics...they we may have not been so baffled by the sudden intimacy between Oliver and Felicity (e.g. her patting him on the cheek), which seemed really odd, given the lack of such gestures in season two.

Yeah,I think it's pretty obvious they're hinting at a GL series, and it ain't gonna be Stewart.

I preferred S2 to 1,although I think ultimately Merlyn was a better villain.S1 just seems quaint now.I can't believe how long we had to put up with the greasepaint mask.Looks even more silly in retrospect.

The last half of S1 was pretty good.I don't know at what point you stopped watching, but you might give the last few a watch. The soap stuff seemed reduced to an extent.Thea still had her ****** moments for example, but they moved past it a bit faster.

She's even more annoying in season 2,but if it's any consolation, her storyline is pretty much detached from the rest, making it easier to FF.

They do some pandering here and there. It's not overpowering, but they start playing to it more as the season progresses.

No idea.

Meryln is the more interesting villain, but Slade was the more menacing one.

Dismissing Arrow as a 'teen soap opera' just because it airs on The CW is a colossal mistake, because there's nothing even remotely soapish about it, even in early Season 1 (which is much better than people seem to be giving it credit for).
