Season 4 Wishlist:

*New costume
*Lighter tone
*No more hardcore melodrama
*Green Arrow instead of Arrow

Probably not happening wishlist:

*Goatee :woot:

If they introduced Connor in season 4 prepared yourself from relationship drama with Sandra.

I don't want a lighter tone, they're HORRIBLE at writing comedy, then again, they're just horrible writers when it comes to dialogue period. The characters already gush over how much they love each other too much even with all the infighting. Light tone just means more "best friends forever" mushiness that is vomit inducing. I want less Felicity and Diggle next season, will never happen though. I was hoping this season would have given us more Dinah and Roy, but instead I just got more annoying lectures & whining from Felicity and Diggle.

Doesn't sound like I'll make it through Season 4.

Idk, I'm using The Flash as reference.

No worries, I wasn't responding to anyone, just my response to the article about them giving the show a lighter tone. They should be focusing on writing better storylines and dialogue instead of changing the tone. IMO the tone is the only thing they've been getting right recently, despite the illogical plots and bad dialogue.

One of the things I hated about season 3, was the ridiculous fact that Oliver survived a long fall (a lot of broken bones would have happened).....after getting stabbed by Ra, fell onto snowy/rock, with nothing to protect himself from the heat.....he should have died on impact. Or if not, die from his wounds/freezing to death, before anyone could find him.

And of course later we get the horrible excuse that it is Olivers willpower that kept him alive. Its as if Olvier is like a metahuman, who's power is the more willpower he has, the further his survivability rate goes up.

The writers could have introduced the Lazerius Pit to be the reason why Oliver was able to live again.

It was a big mistake for the writers to have Oliver to take a big drop. Sure it can sound cool, but if they are planning on keeping Oliver in the show without him taking a dip in the magic hot tub....then its a pretty bad idea.

Arrow has proven to be able to do lighter tone.....don't know why they can't do it.....the Flash have the same writer.....it just a poor excuse that they can't do it

They choose not to do it because they want to be Batman-lite. But then again, everyone outside of Marvel wants to be too.

I don't get a wannabe Batman vibe from any of the other comic shows. Well, except Gotham, but that's sort of the point.

Flash, iZombie, Constantine, Agent Carter, Powers, Daredevil, and Agents of SHIELD all have their own style.

Arrow is more of a Batman ripoff than the Green Arrow character was to begin with.

Anyone have a breakdown of the screentimes on the season as a whole, or at least the last few episodes?

The tone is ok right now and I also think storytelling should be a priority. But if they're willing to go for a lighter tone and revamp the series, I'm all for it.
I honestly think they're reacting to The Flash's reception. That show isn't afraid of using the Flash mythos. They're going all out with the character, and they should do the same with Arrow. Turn it into a Green Arrow show.

I was thinking: for Starling City, the Arrow is dead, right? First they thought Oliver was the Arrow, and that was all over the TV and ****. Then Roy turned himself in and "died" in prison. If Oliver goes back to being the Arrow, he's gonna be suspect nº1.

as I said 2 pages over
Anyone want to guess how Oliver become the arrow again? when the arrow is supposedly dead? Even if the case is closed....I don't know if the police or city hall would want masked heroes running around

If there are such things as copy cat serial killers or as we saw in flash with the first trickster & his son .... there can be same deal with vigilante's.

Every one here is over thinking this. it's supposed detective comic's even though the arrow writers messed that part up with the mystery department when they tried .

This is what the world of crime does it makes copy cat's . some of that logic (oh the chose of words) can work for this to set him self apart he can use Green or someone will randomly call him that same with Roy as Arsenal since the public didn't know his code name just use the black costume from the comic's . & Roy's back in business in another city or Roaming the states like what's being done with sam & dean in super natural til he joins the titan's as founder or the CBI or both.

Being a TV superhero is pretty great. “I’ve got the best job in the world,” said Michael Rowe from his booth at the Motor City Comic Con at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi, Mich.
He tells the story of how the role of Deadshot wasn’t what he auditioned for. They brought him in to play an Army sniper named Finn, but when the red eyepiece and wrist-mounted machine guns came out they told him he would be playing Deadshot. Rowe was shocked. “You’ve gotta be kidding me man,” he said recalling his reaction at the time.
Working With The Big Guys
The ambiguous anti-hero was pitted against massive co-stars in the show. So how does he handle the mismatch? “They’re all like professional wrestlers,” he bulked up a little after joining the cast to keep up.
First he fought Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen and then they had him up against David Ramsey’s character Diggle. “He’s like 6’4″ 230 pounds,” said Rowe. A scene called for Diggle to choke Deadshot. “It felt like he didn’t even need two hands,” he said.
The show works their craft to makes it believable. “Thank god for movie magic,” he said laughing.
Suicide Squad
Rowe is excited to see where the new “Suicide Squad” movie will take the character he brought back to center stage.
“We did a good job at what we were doing on TV and that gave them the confidence to take it all the way to the film version.”
“Interesting” is a word he used to describe the casting of Will Smith in the movie.
On Being Recognized
The first time Rowe was recognized for his celebrity was at a bar in New Zealand on a promotional tour. His tough Newfoundlander hackles were raised by a group of guys giving them a stare. “They’re really staring us down. Get ready,” he recalled telling his co-stars. Turns out they were fans which was a surprise to Rowe since he wasn’t aware the show aired over there. In fact it’s quite popular Rowe tells us.
Has he ever seen something at a con that he really wanted?
Fans will often show him drawings of his character. He has asked for them to send it to him in the mail, but he’s still waiting.
Being in Michigan
He only took the trip from the airport to the hotel, but when we asked if he had heard of our local culinary trademark, the coney dog, he thought we meant a corn dog.
“That sounds delicious man,” he said when we described it.
Head over to Motor City Comic Con all this weekend and see Michael Rowe this weekend.

If I were to ask for only one thing for the next season it would be for Olicity to be over. I was never a fan of it and the execution of it just seems like fan service gone too far.

I actually thought the guy did better as Deadshot when they brought him back and delved into his past. I really wasn't impressed with him when they did the first Suicide Squad episode.

Does look pretty cool. Visually I would love to see something like that on Arrow.

It would indeed be interesting to see the direction they take the series next season. This was honestly underwhelming and I hate for it to go off the rails. Also, the entire Oliver retiring concept has me intrigued as to whether this was in the writers plans all along from the beginning. I remember them saying that they had the five seasons of Arrow generally planned out in their heads.

Also, great fanmade pic of DigGuardian!

The entire retirement thing probably planned as season 4 is a reboot....and after 3 season it make sense to start fresh

Fanmade .

Wow this artist is awesome. but it'll also reminds me of Roy's family history/ back ground which they refused to delve into. Other then that it's cool.

I want John Diggle to have his own Identity Ordinance he's a gun user it fits

the producer have mention a lighter tone? I wonder if the inspiration will be from Buffy TVS? It has humor, jokes, funny moment mix in with some sad moments at times
