Neal McDonough, WOW! That's unexpected but awesome casting right there. Although, in a funny coincidence, McDonough voiced GA in that DC Showcase animated short that they released a few years back.

I hope they write him better than they did Ra's or S3 Malcolm.

McDonough is a fantastic get for the show, he's intense and can be creepy.

For anyone who hasn't seen it already, go and watch Season 3 of Justified (actually, watch ALL of Justified, it's great). He plays the main villain and is REALLY creepy.

I like Neal and wasn't he in Captain America First Avenger? Anyway he's gonna be a great villain but he's a little older than I imagined.

He was Dum Dum Dugan in First Avenger and Agent Carter

Interesting ... I remember some of the initial rumors were that they were going to cast young for Darhk. But I guess it doesn't really make sense to say he's young because of the Lazarus Pit, since Ra's looked older as well.
And I know he's been in a lot of roles, but the one that comes to mind right away is Bison in the Chun-Li movie lol.

I like him but now my suspiciousness for him being Felicitys daddy has risen again.

Given the track record of Arrow, and the CW in general ... he is most definitely her father. At least, the odds are him being her father are greater than him not being her father.

I don't think he's her father but they've said he'll be tech based villain that will allow Felicity to be more apart of the battle instead of crying in a corner.

He was awesome and sinister as the bad guy in the remake of Walking Tall with The Rock.

I read some do not think he should be a regular because his role won't be big in every single episode but only certain episode throughout the season. I think his presence/threat will similar to Slade Wilson

If anyone did not know he voices green arrow on that DC animated short......

On the flip side, he was also Bison in The Legend of Chun Li. :D

They are playing safe by making him a regular. They did the same for Slade.

Malcolm was a series regular last season and he wasn't even in every episode. In fact, I believe the first episode he appeared in was episode 3 and there were a few episodes that he either didn't appear in or only had one small scene in.

And what people seem to forget about Slade is that he was introduced in season one, so he had some backstory already, not to mention, he was featured in almost every episode in the first half through flashbacks, before being featured in both the present and flashbacks in the second half. His character, out of all the villains, including Malcolm from season 1, had the most time to breathe.

Kinda wish we got a look at Jesse Custer on this.
