yeah that was the worst episode of the series.

This season is making 3 look like a masterpiece in comparison.

Interesting little side story:

I work at a ad/media company and the client we work has brands that air commercials on the CW. So at our last meeting, we were told about a letter of complaint sent to the Client, because we aired a commercial for one of their brands during The 100. Basically, the person was pissed at how the show handled a gay/lesbian character and killed them off, despite the producer talking about how important that character was. And because of this, the person was boycotting the show because of how it represents the LGBT community, so it's our job to screen episodes more carefully, and possibly pull out of airing in the show altogether.

I couldn't help but relate to the person and their complaints though. Sadly none of that changes the narrative of the story, and the show isn't going to care. But it was interesting to see someone else feel similarly about a different show, even if their letter came off as a crazy fangirl.

Felicity just talking villains into prison now... ****.
I don't know which is worse, that, or the fact that I was really expecting her to be so fed up that she just punched Cupid and took her down all by herself.

Those people will never be satisfied, pointless to cater to them.

Ya when Cupid shot Oliver and Felicity gave Cupid that look right before the commerical, I thought "oh geez Felicity is gonna take down Cupid in a wedding dress". Which technically happened because Felicity talked her into giving herself up but the Felciity train won't stop there because next week she's clearly gonna take down the Bug-Eyed Bandit

Like last season with the LOA, the writers have not done a good job telling us much about H.I.V.E until it is too late (that is if they do tell us more about them in the last few episodes like they did with the LOA, which I assume they will). Damien Darhk is awesome IMO (and I am sure that a lot of people will agree, even if his plans and motives are not so clear right now), but overall H.I.V.E were better in the comics than they have been on Arrow (so far). I was much more interested in them and finding out more about them. On Arrow, the only characters I am interested in are Darhk and his partner that will show up, who we supposedly will be surprised that they can use (my guess is that it is Talia).

There have been nods to H.I.V.E from the comics on the show. Them trying to poison the water by destroying the factory in episode 2 of this season. That was a nod to "Operation Waterworks", which was H.I.V.E's plan to hold the world to ransom in the Teen Titans comics by threatening to poison the water. Using the algae to make poison in episode 9 was probably another reference to that.

The way the Ghosts kill themselves so they cannot be questioned is a reference to the way the higher ranking members of H.I.V.E were killed by the leader of H.I.V.E, who then killed herself before being confronted and interrogated by the Teen Titans.

The way they hire killers and assassins like Anarky, Deadshot and Jeremy Tell. In the comics they have hired the likes of Deathstroke and his son Grant Wilson, amongst others.

The way they had trapped the TA member in episode 9 was similar to how the Titans were trapped in The Judas Contract.

The SPECTRE like base which we seen earlier in the season with Darhk, Ruve and Malcolm talking to various members from around the world. H.I.V.E's bases in the comics, both the one in the mountains and their undersea one were similar, and leaders spoke to members from around the world on similar screens. H.I.V.E in the comics were based on SPECTRE.

Then there is also of course, Darhk, who is involved with H.I.V.E like he was in the comics. He was not the leader or as high ranking a member though. I mentioned that H.I.V.E in the comics were better, but one thing Arrow has done better is make its leader (or at least its co-leader) better. Damien is much better than the H.I.V.E Mistress, who was a very underwhelming villain. When the Titans finally took down H.I.V.E, she was revealed as the leader, but she had just recently become the leader by killing her husband who was the former leader. From what was described in the comics, her husband was a much better leader and she was an incompetent one. I still do not know why they decided to have her as the final villain in that story. Like I said, very underwhelming.

I wonder will they reference the comics again by having the leader Darhk, killed by a high ranking female member who will then take full control. Perhaps his wife Ruve, or Talia, if she is the rumoured character to appear.

Part of me wishes I was never a fan of DC characters in the first place, good lord it's just train wreck after train wreck.

Right now i don't see myself watching season 5 and beyond. I enjoyed seasons 1 and 2 but since season 3 the show is on a downward spiral. And i fear Flash is on the same Path. Hope i am wrong about that.

I'm rewatching New Girl, Katie and Stephen have both shown up in the first few episodes.

At this point you could change the name of 'Arrow' to 'The Secret Diary of Felicity Smoak' and it would make more sense.

I personally prefer "Felicity & Friends," but we all know its not a good time to change the title. They'll do it during the summer for next season.

Being in the UK I'm only upto Sins of the Father but I guess it isn't getting better. Most TV shows get into their stride from Seasons 3-5/6ish before becoming poor in quality but it appears Arrow doesn't care. I really hope they don't extend it over the planned five series. From there move Green Arrow over to Legends of Tomorrow and have the others make regular appearances on other shows.

I don't like Felicity at the moment due to how much attention she is given in a show where she isn't even the female leader but I do like her when she's away from Oliver. I think a Birds of Prey film with Overwatch, Blsck Canary, Speedy and Vixen could easily would be good and allow Lance to also become a main character on that. From what I've heard Lyla runs Argus now so they could just give Diggle regular guest starring roles in both Birds of Prey and the Flash because there has to come a time when the tube can't keep holding all the villains on the Flash.

Birds of Prey would also help to explore the legacy that Green Arrow has left behind and how the team hope to fill the shoes.

Christ, this episode was a drag. I've really gotten to the point where I'm watching just to see what happens in the last 3 minutes.

And no, the relationship stuff won't end. They made it clear that Oliver is lost without Felicity.

But I will say, the fake wedding and the Felicity talk at the end were good idea, but they weren't executed well, especially in a season where the relationship stuff takes center stage and hurts the show. But Felicity "quitting" felt worse than when Lana was forced to leave Clark because she was full of Kryptonite. Both cases just make the hero look weak, and I wish Oliver would grow his balls back already.

Oliver needs to yell at Felicity like he did with Laurel. She was petty and acting like he was the one who called things off.

Even though I am Team Felicity in this whole Olicity break up, they will never have the characters look at Felicity in the wrong like they had with Laurel.

Guess they are going for a more grown up approach, which is absolute ********. If grown ups knew how to handle break ups well, a divorce wouldn't need lawyers.

Flash respects the canon. They don't follow it to the letter, but they remix it so as to not throw their core fans off. That's why it's a good show and lightyears ahead of Arrow in quality.

Arrow doesn't respect the canon. It's a complete bastardization. **** this garbage vampire twilight soap opera with ninjas.

And that's even with season two being a let down from season one (which is only mostly due to the LoT set up).

Despite the promising start, season 4 is now far worse than season 3. Looking back, S3 was mostly bad due to poor execution. The episodes never really lived up to the hype. S4 just has plain terrible plots.

I thought season three's plots were pretty inane as well, particularly in the second half.

Some promo images have been released for the next episode and I'm calling it now, the only reason why Thea is with Felicity at PalmerTech is because she's trying to convince her to get back with Oliver.

Could you imagine how much more powerful Batman would be in TDKR if he had put a microchip in his knee instead of using a magical leg brace?

We are talking about a round house kick that could destroy cities, people.

OMG i need this in my life!

I'm not sure that she even has a 'fanbase' anymore, she's written so terribly but there is an obvious solution.

Give her her own spin off show like supergirl. Call it One Tree Arrow or Starling City 90210 and let her be the star and talk villains into prison and have daddy issues and boyfriend issues.

Then reboot Arrow as a superhero show again.
