I'm sorry that this news means we won't see Manu Bennett's Slade on the CW any time soon. Slade was the most well-crafted villain on Arrow, and the one I enjoyed the most. And even though his motivation regarding his feelings for Shado was a little weak and should have been fleshed out more, Manu's acting more than made up for it because he really managed to sell Slade's emotions whenever he was on screen. Even when there were weaknesses in the script, Manu made me believe Slade's emotions every time. I miss having him on the show.

Slade (and Manu) was great in season 1 and 2. But he could have been a lot better if they found a different reason for his anger towards Oliver instead of that stupid love triangle thing. I suppose his Deathstroke suit could have been a bit better as well.

DCEU and Gotham are really hammering Arrow, if the show was good and Guggenheim wasn't a hack I'd actually feel sorry. As it is I dont,infact I'm very pleased.

I feel bad because Green Arrow is one of my favorite superheroes, so to see the show go from being great to whatever it is now, it's really disheartening.

I'm more inclined to believe that "Everyone" is behind the ass**** and not Guggenheim's bastardization of a show.

And I do think people that have stopped watching the show do have a right to be angry. Arrow's first two seasons took a B/C - list superhero and was making him top tier, at least to a portion of the general audience. Instead of building on it the following seasons undid all of that, and turned Green Arrow into a soap opera for tweenage females.

And I write that last statement as someone who's open to watching Supergirl and has Wonder Woman as my 2nd most anticipated film.

The fact Geoff Johns has taken shots at Arrow specifically says something.

We are getting closer to the new season of Arrow as the Green Arrow heads into its fifth year this fall on The CW. It was revealed today that Justified actor David Meunier has been cast as the DC Comics character Ishmael Gregor who will be a recurring character in the new season. Here is how Warner Bros. Television describes the TV show’s take on the character who in the comics has magical abilities from the demon Sabbac.

“Ishmael Gregor, the slick and intimidating Pakhan (“Godfather&#8221 of the Bratva, whom Anatoly (David Nykl) reports and takes a special interest in Oliver Queen.”

No, Malcolm's outfit was an entirely different design, which later turned out to be the League attire.

Although in Smallville, they did the same and used a black version of that Ollie's costume.

I'm willing to bet that Arrow's Prometheus will be exactly like that Prometheus in everything but look. The reason they didn't go for that look is because as stupid as Guggenheim is even he realized that it wouldn't work in the context of Arrow. Prometheus is after all an inverse Batman and his look is supposed to reflect that, so they merely changed his visual to make him look like an inverse Arrow. Essentially the hack is ripping off another character but also pretending that he's created something new.

Batman has a new book at least once every week, he's encountered everyone at some point. Prometheus's origin and costume are Batman-esque, but to be honest I actually can't think of one defining moment in a Batman solo adventure. Same way Cyborg Superman is more of a Green Lantern villain.

His creator Grant Morrison created him to be his own take on the anti-Batman concept. His origin, personality and look aren't Batmanesque, they are deliberately an inversion of Batman. As for maiming Harper and blowing up Star City etc none of that was intentional, the editorial wanted to shake up GA's world so they utilized the JL story Cry for Justice to accomplish that. Prometheus didn't seek out Arrow or Harper. He shares no relationship with them, he plays no role in GA stories, he doesn't match with GA on any level. He actually has appeared in Batman books unlike GA, granted later retconned as an impostor but he did appear. Besides Batman does have a great moment with him, when he hacked his helmet to beat him and it was a great JL run as a whole unlike Cry for Justice which was controversial turd. Most if not all GA fans dismissed that story entirely.

Also CS is a Superman villain, come on, even in SCW he fought Superman. But still Henshaw and Jordan had a legitimate beef for a very long time.
