Ragman could turn on Felicity when he finds out about her involvement in the Havenrock deaths.

Guggenheim reveals that metahumans will have something to do with why the Dominators have come to Earth.

“I will say that their goal is very closely related to what was established in the comics, and it does have to do with metahumans.”

Guggenheim continues by saying it parallel’s the comics’ original storyline.

“It’s very, very faithful to the comics.”

Guggenheim talks briefly about last season’s crossover, and goes on to explain how this one will be much more ambitious.

“I think it’s massively different. The first crossover we did was two separate storylines that had a slight tangential connection to each other. Then last year, the crossover we did was a two-parter that told one complete story with a beginning, middle, and end across Flash and Arrow, but it also had the work of setting up Legends of Tomorrow. This year, we’re doing by far the most ambitious crossover we’ve ever done. It’s basically a huge three-part story that also brings in Supergirl, so it’s crossing over all four shows. It’s telling one big epic movie of a story. It’s not setting up any other spin-offs, it’s just big, bombastic, huge action. There’s also some really poignant character moments. There’s a lot of plot lines, particularly I would say in Flash and Legends, that come to fruition in the crossover. It’s by far the most ambitious thing we’ve ever attempted. I want to say it’s by far one of the most ambitious things anyone in network television has ever attempted. It’s completely insane.”

Arrow is back. Two strong episodes. Flashbacks look decent. Not sure about the diggle side plot just yet but that night lead to the main plot eventually. It's a long season so I'm all for the slow story telling and less villains of the week. Having Church around is great. It reminds me of season 1 and 2. I don't think you can top the season 1-3 villains but as for a season, this is hanging pretty good.

I wouldn't go as far as saying they're back after just two episodes.

True. Last year was the worst season, but it had lots of good episodes. If you go back to the threads from last season, you will see mostly positive comments and high ratings out of ten in the majority of episodes. It was episode 16 or 17 when things began to change. Heck, even episode 18 was a good episode, and I am sure most people would grudgingly admit that, despite the stupid death.

Yeah, what I will say though, is I love this dynamic between Oliver/Felicity. It works so much better when she is in a supporting role, as opposed to a leading role that they sort of forced her into.

I still miss Laurel
Me too. :(

Also, I'm not a fan of how Ollie keeps referring to her. His feelings make sense, but it happens so often that it comes across as the showrunners basically saying "we underestimated how much you guys cared about her."

Same. Even in seasons 1 and 2, she was a strongpoint of the show for me.

This season is automatically brilliant simply because Oliver and Felicity aren't a couple anymore.

Yeah it's like when she is not around he loves her more. He was the same way during season one of the Island.

I decided last season that I was done with this show. Over. Never watching that garbage again.

I forgot to cancel the recording from my DVR. So before deleting it, I watched it. Like an idiot. I don't know why I did that to myself.

Because it just won me back. The first two eps have been so much better than anything since season two. Arrow! You have me back. For now. Don't screw this up.

Surely there were some episodes that you liked in those seasons? The Climb? Dark Waters? Taken?

I am glad you enjoyed the episodes btw.

That's a fair question. There were some decent eps. But it was not enough to salvage the show in my opinion. I really was decided and mostly steadfast in my decision to hit the proverbial f-it button.

But I am back on board for now. In a 23 episode season, I expect some episodes to be filler that does little to advance the story arc. As long as they don't drift too far from shore, I am sticking with it.

I think the new team and cooling the Felicity drama for now was the shot in the arm the show needs.

Part of the quire here. One very stupid decision and one that I hope ends up getting reversed.

I hate to say it, but having her father die instead would have been a huuuge thing for Laurel. They could have continued with her getting injured, then going to the hospital scene. Only instead of her dying, we cut to her father hurrying to her side, perhaps after just being told that she's doing better. And he runs into Darhk perhaps just outside the hospital.

As it is now, he's just the compassion piece that we go 'oh, you poor man' for.

Here's to hoping they get him on is feet this season. I miss the old detective.

Yeah if History has taught us anyth8ng, I expect the producers to go back to the Olicity nonsense later on in the season through some forced reason. Look at how the second season of the Flash was free of the Iris and Barry drama, only for them to get back together after having Patty leave so abruptly.
