I wonder how many more people Oliver will reveal himself to... since 2 ended up dying, he needs to make up some ground lol

I'm still not really excited about it, I would expect Laurel's character to actually do something this season, she already had the whole first season of doing nothing beside being in the love relationship with Tommy and Oliver, and "amused" by Arrow's action, please don't make her sad about Tommy's death and "amused" about some other Black Canary during this whole season...

It sounds like there's still some confusion as to exactly what this whole Caity Lotz as Black Canary situation is, so I wanted to take the time to spell it out: Caity Lotz's character isn't SUPPLANTING Laurel as the Black Canary; Laurel is still eventually going to take on the moniker, but the writers aren't waiting to introduce the character until that happens. Instead, what they're doing is pulling a 'Bill Wintergreen Deathstroke' on us. Since Kreisberg did comment that Caity Lotz's Canary isn't Dinah Drake, it sounds likely that what they're instead going to do is either create an original character for Lotz to play and associate her with the Black Canary moniker, or else take a character from the wider DC mythos - played by Lotz - and associate said character with the moniker... and then use Lotz's character to play a role in Laurel's 'hero's journey' from lawyer to costumed superhero.

To me he's comments seemed more like damage control, saying that this is the beggining of the story of the Black Canary, wich could still mean that she is the Black Canary and eventually Laurel will take the role , he didn't say "Caity Lotz isn't playing Black Canary", or did I read wrong his comments? Anyway, I loved the first season, so I'll try to ignore this stories untill we have more confirmation about it, don't wanna get all negative on the show that I do like....

Sounds like they're retaining the legacy aspect of the Black Canary identity, but going about it differently than the passing from mother to daughter that's in the comics.

Old BC dies or retires, Laurel takes her place and name, that could work.

^ I'm not sure why somebody who sounds like she's going to be a contemporary of Oliver - and, by extension, Laurel - would 'retire', so the character dying and Laurel taking up the mantle seems much more likely to happen.

I'm thinking she gets in trouble, Laurel defends her legally and then old BC dies then Laurel takes up the mantel.

'Old BC' is a major misnomer since, as noted, it appears as if the character is going to be a contemporary of both Oliver and Laurel's; 'Original BC' would be the better term to use.

Michael Jai White is playing Bronze Tiger. Wow.

Michael Jai White plays Ben Turner, a claw-wielding assassin better known as Bronze Tiger, who’s well known to DC Comics fans as a member of both the League of Assassins and the Suicide Squad. On Arrow, he’ll form an unholy alliance with fan-favorite villain China White (played by Kelly Hu), another well-established character in the DC Comics universe.

Kevin Alejandro plays Sebastian Blood. Drawing inspiration from the iconic New Teen Titans nemesis Brother Blood, Sebastian is an alderman who rises to power in the wake of the earthquake that devastated Starling City in Arrow’s first-season finale. Blood’s “man-of-the-people” popularity instantly places him at odds with Oliver Queen, whose family he blames for the quake.

They got more in that sizzle reel than I expected, loved the footage of Summer Glau and it looks like Ollie will finally take the Green Arrow mantle so that gripe can be put to rest!

Who were the hooded crew busting into the office building?

Given the footage I'm pleased they managed to hide the Black Canary stuff when it was shot.

The Black Canary they're introducing in S2 isn't Dinah Drake; we don't know what her true identity is yet, but we do know that she's going to play a role in Laurel eventually taking up the Black Canary mantle.
