Also, was there any evidence that Wintergreen was involved with the LOA at all? I don't recall any. I think that it is much more likely that whoever trained Malcolm also trained BC.

I think it was stated by the producers that Ra's Al Ghul was the one responsible for Malcom's training.

Interesting, I wonder what the chances of us actually SEEING him are? Or maybe at least having him referenced by name.

Can't wait to see who [BLACKOUT]the assassin is sent to the mansion to kill Ollie and Canary.[/BLACKOUT]

I think the idea with Laurel is that she feels guilty about Tommy and is projecting her guilt on "The Hood" as a way of avoiding it.

It will be a woman named Miranda but everyone knows is Talia

Quentin's motivation for wanting to arrest Arrow in season 1 actually made sense. He's a cop and Arrow was a mass-murdering vigilante, perfectly reasonable. Laurel's reasoning is just stupid. Another thing, maybe if she wasn't being an idiot and gathering case files while the damn building was collapsing all around her due to the massive earthquake after all of her coworkers had done the smart thing and gotten the heck out of there, Tommy wouldn't have had to run into said collapsing building to save her dumb ass.

Well said.

I just read the synopsis for Episode 5... At this point I'm simply tired of complaining about the writers and Laurel. I just don't have the energy anymore.

Indeed.

I mean, let's just look at the poster for example...

If I didn't know who Laurel was on the show and what her relationship with Oliver was like, I would assume that Laurel was a villain on the show based on how she looks in the poster.

Heck, I would have never guessed that Laurel was the supposed leading lady of the show based on how prominent Felicity is in the poster.

In fact, I wouldn't be surprised....I'd actually be happy as a mater of fact, if Laurel slowly loses her position on the show to Felicity who is easily more likable than Laurel and is most likely going to become a lot more popular than her as well.

I seriously thought that she was the new big bad of season 2. Then I took a close look at the poster and realized that it's actually Laurel.

I just hope the writers realise what a mistake they have done with laurel, and just kill her off. Preferably by someone like china white who he let go to prison to teach him to kill his villains.

That's Laurel?! :wow:
I thought it was new character, she looks old and kind of evil. Like Cruella Deville.

Just read episode 5, and I never hated Laurel before but now. It was one thing to what she did to "The Hood" in the last episode, but what she's about to do to Oliver.... what a b****

Agreed; at least they can make an excuse with "Green Arrow" due to her placing her own guilt over Tommy on a character that she doesn't really know, even if it's a crappy excuse, but to go as far as joining the prosecuting team that could send her ex-boyfriend's mother to death row...that's way too extreme.

Honestly, I did feel bad for Laurel back in Season 1, when she was somewhat tolerable at times, but after betraying Tommy, taking her anger out on Green Arrow after everything that the hero has done for her, and now joining the prosecuting team that could send Oliver's mom to death row, she's pretty much at this point beyond redeemable.

At least Oliver's making an effort to be less of an ass that he was before and trying to improve on his social skills with those that are still close to him, but Laurel just makes things constantly worse for her.

I really hope that this new Canary really blows the creators out of the water like Emily did with her performance as Felicity, and I also hope that Laurel's popularity dies down soon so that they decide to keep this new Canary and ditch their plans for Laurel.

It took Lana 4 seasons before I started to really get annoyed by her, but Laurel..it just took her 2.

It seems that they make Laurel blame guilt on everyone but herself this season. She blames the Hood because he couldn't save Tommy, even though he was trying to stop Merlyn's plans. Now she tries to get Oliver's mom on death row, because she without a doubt blames her for Tommy's death as well.

Well I think I know what's on a lot of people's Christmas wish list.
"Dear Santa, can you please make Laurel die in a truly horrible and painful way? Thanks Santa!" And they said Oliver and laurel are supposed to be together, really? She is just about to get your mom the death sentence, if Oliver even goes near her after this...... Just wow!

lol; well I'm not saying that I want her to die a painful way, or die at all, just as long as she's written off the show and someone else is allowed to become Black Canary will be fine with me.

And honestly, I'm kind of worried that not even this upcoming incident with his mom is going to stop Oliver in the long run from leaving the door open for Laurel since if Laurel was willing enough to get back together with Oliver after he had cheated on her with her own sister and placed her in a situation that led to her supposed death, then I can't see this really having that much of a long impact on Oliver.

She jumped his bones, knowing full well what he did. Cheating on her with her own sister, leading to her death. I won't put it past the writers that Oliver is still into Laurel, even though she tried to get his mother on death row.

It's the most toxic relationship....EVER. Canary and Arrow are supposed to be NOTHING like that.

Oliver needs to find his Lois Lane. Because Laurel definitely isn't it.

Yeah. Lois lane was the best thing about Smallville in my opinion. Hope it's either Sara Lance, Felicity or someone they haven't introduced yet.

I don't even remember Ross and Rachel (from Friends) being this bad.lol

I mean, even Ross knew that he'd never have a chance with Rachel again if he slept with her sister when he was given the chance.haha

And I know that Canary and Oliver have had issues with each other in the comics, but I don't think it was anywhere this bad.

You could even say that Laurel is the catalyst for some of the bad things that have happened on this show, whether it was her fault or not...

Laurel having a double date with Oliver when he was going out with Helena sent her over the edge that eventually led her to go to the dark side.

Laurel was partially responsible for why Tommy died since she wasn't supposed to be at Work.

Now she's leading a campaign to rid the city of Green Arrow as well.

Yeah, it's beyond bad atm. But on the bright side, episode 5 is going to kick some serious butt from what I've read about it.

Can't work out what the end game is for Laurel this season....are they trying to make her the most hated character on TV ATM?

She is worse than Skylar white. Never thought that was possible.

Laurel needs a scapegoat, someone worse than her to draw in all the hate.
