I still think it's ridiculous that the Newspapers keep calling him the hood. He's a vigilante dressed in green, who's m.o. is using a bow and arrows. And the most outstanding feature they can think of is his hood? OK, it works story wise for Ollie himself, as he transforms from a violent vigilante, into a hero that gives the people hope. But realistically, it's unbelievable to think that the newspapers don't have more imagination.

I would have expected the media/cops to call him something like "The Archer" or "The Bowman" or something like that.

In real life they would have called him Robin Hood

Ok, I take it back. Calling him Robin Hood would have been even dumber than calling him The Hood.

Good episode, would have upgraded the costume aswell and give him a domino mask or high tech goggles. I really hate the face paint.

+1000. In a way the face paint doesn't make sense. He needs something (Like a mask or goggles) that can be quickly worn or removed. I find it hard to believe Arrow carries a jar of cold cream and tissues around to remove the makeup when he switches back to Oliver Queen. That really is the only issue I have with the costume.

I don't know, I find it perfectly believable. The Media have a woeful lack of imagination sometimes.

Enjoyed last night's episode and the season is off to a great start. So many things going on and a lot of story paths laid out. Solid debut, bring on next week! :D

I also knew they weren't going to go full blown with the "I want to be called Green Arrow!" line after Ollie said he doesn't want the name The Hood anymore. I saw people on other sites betting he'd already take the GA name. Glad we got Canary though. Really can't wait for more.

Here's a picture of Roy fighting the copycats:

:funny:

Haha yeah that really stuck out for me, looked a bit strange.

Easily noticed that as well, haha.

Perhaps when Roy joins Ollie, he'll point out that he can't also be called Arrow, so they designate colours for each.

Yep, that's what I thought. Two vigilantes (Oliver and Roy), two "Arrows" (Green Arrow and Red Arrow).

Katie Cassidy did something to her face. Every time Laurel came on screen it distracted me.

More like editing room fail.

I want Oliver to be called Green Arrow, but I think Roy should be Arsenal to differentiate him.

Also, I think the destruction of the Glades would have been a excuse to have the city changed from Starling City to Star City as part of a rebranding effort to distance it from the attack.

Olivers self imposed exile was completely wasted. that pissed me off.

I much prefer it being dealt with quickly than to have Oliver spend the first part of the season moping on an island, that would be annoying to watch.

What was the point of sending him back to the island - a place of great significance - if they weren't going to have it actually mean something? He might as well have actually gone to Europe.
