Someone mentioned that they thought the driver from the next epsidoe might be Sportsmaster (He's not, he's a pre-change Solomon Grundy), reading up more on him I could see him fitting in with Arrow's world.

Wait... what?

Have you been watching the show? The character at the end of this weeks episode was Cyrus Gold.
Well excuse me for not knowing every minute detail of the DC Universe. Just asking a question guy.

That guy is Cyrus Gold who in the comics turns into Solomon Grundy after he dies. So this is sort-of proto-Grundy.

Thank you.

Kinda sad they aren't going to connect it to the DC Movieverse but then they will have the opportunity to give all the DC characters their own spin in the Arrowverse which I think will be a good thing with the way this show has been going. Got my buddy into it to, he's been catching up on the 1st season on Netflix. I keep telling him to hurry up and get caught up so we can talk about how awesome season 2 is

Just finished this weeks episode…wow just wow

Yeah they find another way, the lock up the bad guy. And then the bad guy escapes and kills even more people. How many people need to die unnecessarily before they decide that enough is enough? A no-killing code isn't moral if it means that hundreds or even thousands of people die who would have lived otherwise because the hero puts their own self-righteousness above all else. Not only is it not moral, it's selfish and cruel.

I knew this was opening a can of worms.:hehe:

Part of the problem stems from the fact that,as a work of fiction, you don't really want to kill a recurring villain.Especially a one as popular as the Joker for example. The problem comes from turning the villain into one particularly heinous fiend. If the Joker kills Robin, cripples Barbara, kills hundreds, then yeah,it seems stupid for Batman not to kill him.The answer is to not have a villain given to that kind of murderous excess.(unless you're expecting them to be killed/not have staying power)

Hey guys I used to post here years ago but nowadays I just lurk. I saw what the producers had to say and decided to make a petition to combine DC's TV and Movie properties. It might now mean much but hey its worth a shot if this blows up! The petition also emphasizes that DC and Warner Bros should have faith in big screen versions of other characters besides the big two. It's a well researched and written petition so please sign!:

Agreed. Superheroes aren't gods. I think that what makes them "superheroes" is that they dedicate their lives in order to help and protect those that can't fend for themselves while setting an good example for others to follow and be inspired by, but there are times where they have to make the tough calls and live with their decisions.

Going around and catching serial killers, only for those said serial killers to always find a way to escape and thus repeat the vicious cycle makes the person no more than a controller of chaos, imho, and not a hero.

I agree that heroes shouldn't aim to kill right away and should try to find another option, but only if there is one.

I agree, they're not gods. But I'd say they're "a little lower than Angels".They've been given a gift in some cases, others like Arrow/Batman have worked hard to perfection in order to find an alternative to taking a life."To whom more is given, more is expected."

WB and DC won't care.

There was a change.org petition regarding removing Affleck as Batman, and they laughed at that.

Don't waste your time.

That was a hate fueled petition. Mine is more constructive, and the trend all starts with a few!

Well if your not a superhero if you kill, then my favourite 2 Heroes aren't, Ironman and green Arrow.

Granted it's not always a black and white issue.Iron Man killing terrorists in the Middle East?Yeah,I can see that as being a part of warfare.Same for Cap in WW II.It's just when we get at the street level, you can't fall back on the "This is War!" excuse.(Unless you're the Punisher.:oldrazz:)

Yeah, but Green Arrow doesn't have any villians the same level as the Joker. They are borrowing Batman ones already.

Guess who's back..

Tommy looks different/older there.

I think he's coming back.:woot:

Iron Man has killed every villain he has faced…well actually Pepper killed the first one…IM and WM killed Whiplash and Pepper killed Mandarin

To be honest, the only one he "might've" killed was Killian.(But they had to go an give Pep the glory kill,so Tony's safe now.:oldrazz:)

Tony and Rhodey only incapacitated Vanko. He chose to pull a "Khan" move and try to blow them all up.

^trust me, tony has killed dozens of people, which I like. Arrow tho was super crazy in season 1( which was awesome), he killed like 30 people an probably crippled dozens more. That hallway fight scene in the undertaking was feeaking awesome!

I don't mind if they keep both universes apart, they did that with Superman Returns and Smallville. This way, tv and film writers have more creative freedom and don't have to worry about continuity issues, plus directors pick their own cast, they're not going to use the tv actors.
Since the tv Flash is pretty young, maybe movie Flash is going to be older (near 30), we'll see what WB does.

Exactly, it should bea case by case thing as opposed to a steadfast rule.

Sportsmaster woukd be perfect for Arrows world IMO.

I could see him fitting in with HIVE perfectly.

Heh, I was the same, I didn't realize that was Solomon Grundy's real name. :D

Hopefully it's just a flashback or delusion. Malcolm coming back is fine. Tommy should stay dead. Not saying his character was horrible, he was great. But his death was well done and he went out a hero. Ollie's oath on avoiding killing hinges on honoring Tommy's memory.

I still want to see Lady Shiva and Cheshire show up as well.

Jury's still out on that one. No pun intended.
