I find it hard to compare the two shows, more because the writers have had more time to find their groove with Arrow while Flash is still a baby.

I have a feeling they are setting up for a captain boomerang/deathstroke teamup at some point......could be a interesting one

Well, Slade has been confirmed as returning so its definitely reasonable to assume we could be seeing Slade and Boomerang teamup against the team this season.

The Flash is much much much better at this point than Arrow was in it's first season. No question.

S*** it might be better than Arrow is now, tbh. :o

Unless Slade is brought back as a mere hallucination (once again) or via flashback.

It's unfair to compare the two, I realize that, but I just find TF to be only slightly above average (at best). Despite a lackluster start, this season of Arrow has managed to interest and impress me more than TF has been able to do in just as many episodes. I was pretty darn invested in Arrow around this time during the first season as well.

This is where I'm at as well.
There are subtleties that Arrow can ignore because so much has been addressed and character relationships have been tested that The Flash still has to deal with. Dialogue that doesn't have be had because it already has.
To be cheesy, like Felicity told Barry in her first trip to Central City, they weren't always a well oiled archery machine.

That being said, The Flash's first season definitely is more engrossing and feels more varied than Arrow did in S1 and I really enjoyed Arrow S1.

So moral of the story: I love both of these shows.

First episode of this season I really enjoyed. :woot:

2) I don't give a damn about Lyla. She could have died tonight and I wouldn't have cared at all.

It's your opinion, and your entitled to it,but damn- I knew you were the only one who was going to be completely disappointed that Lyla survived.:lmao:

Yeah, how did Cap'n Boomerang get in the Arrow Cave?It seems Thea is the only one who can't get down there.

After watching it again,my opinion is confirmed: I don't see how anyone could see Laurel figuring out Barry's I.D in her one brief scene, but for wishful thinking.

And I'll say as I said before: I'd say Flash's first season is better than Arrow's first season. It's also better than Arrow this season. But it's not better than Arrow's 2nd season.
And I love both shows.I'm just giving my honest estimation.

Think of the conversations between Captain Boomerang and Deathstroke... LOL.
Deathstroke: Who is there?
Boomerang: You do not remember me, old friend?
Deathstroke: Ashur! You ****!!
Boomerang: Hello, Crixus!

Throw in Nyssa and Amanda Waller and you have a Spartacus reunion! :oldrazz:

I'm going to watch the flash and arrow episodes tonight in the UK.
Which should i watch first?

You know, the odd thing is that on "The Flash", it can be said that Oliver was made to look great there (betters a bit better than Barry), but on "Arrow"... Barry was the one that ended up looking better.

I would have thought that they would have gone about it the other way around.

They seriously couldn't find an Aussie actor to play Captain Boomerang?

The guy playing him is terrible. For shaaaaaaame.

So I just did a marathon from eps 6-8. Overall, I found ep 6 quite good but ep 7 has got to be one of the worst Arrow has done. I am fine with the fact that they decided to focus on the tension between Oliver and Felicity but Cupid has got to the cheesiest and corniest villain ever.

I would give ep 6 a 7.5-8/10 while ep 7 is an abysmal 4.5/10.

Having said that, ep 8 has got to be the best episode of Season 3 in my books. I liked that they used Barry productively and made him inspire Arrow to not give up on his humanity. The main villain was also pretty good. I agree that this season of Flash is quite a bit more engaging than season 3 of Arrow but I feel that episode 8 will function as a turnaround for season 3. I'd give it a 9/10.

I also enjoyed watching the flashbacks for a change. They more directly related to the central conflict this time. I hope that they get a flashback sequence in ep 9 in which Tatsu teaches Oliver how to fight with a sword.

yeah so does barry mask removal and the coffee robbiing "wow" "your actually Robbing me? "unbelievable" disappears and a cop is in front of the mugger who's dis armed with some part of his clothes one day that will bit him the way it should. that's what I mean. that wear no fear ego trip he has with the jokes . other the that it would be fine To a degree it's one to his head.

The mask removal thing was just him trying to stick it to an old school bully. Understandable, but dumb.

Yeah, but that was just a common criminal. It was much like something Peter Parker would've done (who they pretty much used as a template for this Barry). He isn't going to be so quick to crack jokes for someone like Captain Cold.

In the end, Team Flash knows when to crack jokes and when it's time to be serious. Like I said before, they're pretty much all closer to how Felicity is rather than being serious 24/7 like most of Team Arrow. There's also the fact that Barry is the only one who actually goes out into the field on his team.

I can't believe that Oliver still chooses to house the "Arrow-Cave" underneath Thea's nightclub where it's more likely to be discovered by people there.

You'd think that he'd find a better location by now, especially after how it's been compromised so many times in the past.

Cupid, Slade, Boomerang, Nyssa, and Huntress all know where Oliver secretly works at.

And it was hilarious how Ollie was warning Team Flash about his ID being a closely guarded secret.

I liked this Episode better than the Flash cross-over. Having them work together is definitely a lot more fun and interesting, than seeing them duke it out. And we had a much better villain this time, than Captain Rainbow in The Flash.

Like I said there's was that and then the mugger with the ego during that time with his with getting coffee telling that mugger that "he doesn't know who he's messing with " too some degree some how the power's are really going to his head at times and he gives a way too much when he speaks. the odd disarm & the cop showing up in from of the mugger. " are you really mugging me ?"

as I said the jokes are fine. but when his ego is involved with his mouth or mistakes like that, it's another story. and Barry's lucky that child hood bully didn't have more ambition as psycho and more lucky that's well's killed him.( not that Well's was really doing Barry any real favors there ) That's still too dangerous for my liking.

As for him being in the field alone. yeah for now well I'm sure after Ronny / fire storm comes to his side( we'll have to see when though ) that'll change and also if when Cisco will eventually become Vibe. (hopefully that will happen when Laural get's the Canary cry with another later cross over lighting event )

Then there's Ronny's girl who will become killer frost. Ok on the latter she might not be on Barry's side when that happens, cause she'll be mentally unstable, if & when that happens.

But it'll still be barry's / the flash's show ether way with them in the field with him or not

It's always bothered me how Thea has never asked what's down there or what would happen if Ollie was still head of the club And she had to call him to sign off for supplies or something. or why her Ex Roy is allowed to hang there she can't .

I always called the base the Arrow lair though

lol but I guess cave can fit too

Good episode.

Captain Boomerang works better as a Green Arrow villain than a Flash villain. I wouldn't mind seeing his comic counterpart take on Green Arrow more in the comics.

Owen Mercer the original Captain Boomerang's son worked better as a Flash villain as he also had access to the speed force in short bursts.

Nice Arrowcave and Arrowmobile reference. Also enjoyed the Bart Allen nod from Captain Lance.

Team Flash realizing how much or a toll and how dangerous villains are was a nice touch.

Green Arrow and Flash really are mirroring Superman and Batman in these crossover episodes with their approaches to crime crime fighting and one another.

Just as I thought it took The Flash, the superior show, to cross-over to make Arrow great again.

Yeah, that was a one time thing unless the writers completely forget they wrote en episode where Barry was showing too much ego. So, it wasn't that big of a deal. I have a feeling Wells, had a contingency plan in case Girder proved not a reliable distraction. Even so, the writers played events out that Girder died (even caring enough to warn Barry to run).

Even if they have the other members go out in the field, I don't think it'll change their characters that much. Everyone on the Arrow team but Felicity pretty much had serious attitudes from the get-go in the present. So, it's really just who these characters are.

Didn't they have Ollie say something like the door doesn't work anymore?

Wasn't there supposed to be some epic reveal or something this episode? Or is it next episode?

I thought it was the baby mama thing that we saw in The Flash ep?
