lots of sketchy plot devices in this one. the montage was a little hokey. I rolled my eyes at the paragliding. still not feeling the relationship between Shado and Slade as valid. They should have built upon that more. Also that dream sequence with Shado and Oliie was weird.

What's weird is that the episode almost made it seem like Diggie and Felicity were hearing about Slade Wilson for the first time when we had him telling them about Slade only a few episodes ago.

Also, it would have been nice to have seen Roy meet and learn who Sara really was, and that she was the vigilante that he met awhile back alongside Sin, etc.

I mean the scene with them, with Roy training, came off as though Roy knew who Sara was for quite awhile when they only just met for the first time, from Roy's POV, last episode.

Lots of Slade, lots of action, lots of island, team arrow, no Laurel and her stupid drama... Great episode 10/10.

Bingo, loved this episode. Love this damn show. Loveeeeeeee it god damn I want more:woot:

Honestly, if it were up to me...I would have established things like this for Slade and Shado.

Let's just say, to get it out of the way, that the mother of Slade's children (Jericho) already passed, so we know what the status is of that relationship.

Shado would have looked at Oliver as more of a sibling than lover, with her affections being directed towards Slade instead.

And since this is the CW drama, let's make it more dramatic. Let's say that Shado was in early pregnancy with Slade's kid, and Slade found out a little while before she died.

If they had gone with all of that for Slade's stance towards Shado, it would make a HELL OF A LOT MORE UNDERSTANDABLE as to why Slade was off the end, even with the Mirakuru affecting him.

That would have been so much better. I've said it before but I am really not a fan of the love triangle between Oliver/Slade/Shado. It gets even more uncomfortable when Slade is moping around and Oliver is barely showing any kind of sadness towards the death of Shado.

Other than that, awesome episode. Slade pretty much owns every scene in the present time that he is in.

By the way. I wonder if it was just an editing error that Oliver was carrying both his bow and quiver while getting captured, but later on Sara has it on the island? Could be that the men who caught him decided to leave his gear on the island.

I think it's because of Manu's acting alone that makes this all work somehow. Any lesser actor would have failed with the reason that they've given for Slade.

And in regards to the bow and quiver, i'm thinking that Sara had an extra/spare for him to use and knew that Oliver's plan was to get captured, hence why she had the other one with her.

On another note, given that Oliver didn't look at least bit apologetic or didn't even try bother reasoning with Slade, let alone attempted to kill him right away with that knife in the living room...I'm guessing that whatever went down between them at the very end convinced Oliver that Slade was irredeemable.

I'm still curious as to learning on how Sara gets "killed off" the island. We know that she apparently "dies" before Oliver finishes his business with Slade, hence why she asked him about Slade when they first reunited earlier this season.

Hmm,I never heard this speculation over Ivo & Felicity before....

I didn't have any problem with Sara's scenes. If anything, her trouble tends to be in the "island Sara" parts,as she clearly doesn't have a set tone.(Caity admitted as much herself) She can't be the "bubbly girl" of pre-island,but she can't be "cool and hardened" like present day.

But I think people are too hard on her.Laurel has her standard look of "shock and bewilderment" every episode. And even Amell has only really come into his own recently, and not doing his "eyes nervously darting around the room, then speaking slowly" thing every episode. I find their acting ticks endearing.:woot:

Great episode!

- Slade! He has so much swagger, him mind****ing oliver was awesome.

- taking the ship was sweeeeeet

- Slade be captain now!

And my favourite moment was the training montage with oliver

I don't see the Felicity/Ivo link TBH.

The mansion scenes were tense as heck and that final shot of Slade..... Creepy. Guess we know now where his eye went.

Wonder if it was someone from A.R.G.U.S that struck Diggle, hence why he ends up with the Squad next week?

I don't remember Slade's wife getting mentioned in the first season, only his son. For all we know, his wife may have died or something. Was there a mention?

Best episode of the season. I liked how the team came together. I do agree about on Caty's line delivery with Slade's reveal. Could've been much better.

What do you mean? You think Ivo removed it for his research?

I wonder, do you guys think that Present Day Slade knew that Sara had actually survived her fate from the island and was now back in Starling City? Slade looked like he was shaken up for a brief second when seeing Sara walk down the stairs.

I can't tell if he was surprised to just see her there or if he was surprised that she was even there to begin with.

I was thinking about that too. We'll have to learn more about what went down on the island to see if it was just surprise to see her alive or just surprise to see her there.

I also couldn't remember if Ollie revealed to Slade that he knew Sara before the island. I'm pretty sure he knows.

Just watched the episode in my university library as I literally couldn't wait until I was home. Loved it of course and can't wait for next weeks now. I guess we have a small idea of what season 3 of the island could be with the numerous prisoners seen arriving on it like Russian mafia guy and Reverend mouse.

I literally ADORE Slade/ Manu. Wonder if we'll ever see Billy Wintergreen again. I dunno if it was confirmed that he's dead, as obvious as it seems.

Damn the tension in this episode was great.

Slade is badass.

Love the new team arrow.

I'm guessing the finale might see Thea find out Malcolm is her real father. I could she him trying to kidnap Thea and Roy killing him.
My question is, who was it that took out Diggle? I've heard some people speculate Huntress, but I doubt it. She's too unpredictable and focused on her own revenge. I hope we'll find out who that was soon.

Brother Blood or one of his henchmen could of taken out Diggle.

I think for a moment he was shocked to see her alive, then he was pleased at the thought of killing her again.

Pretty sure we watched him get decapitated.

Slade knew she was the girl that came back from the dead. So he knew Sara was alive. I think he was surprised to find her with Oliver again. He'll definitely want to kill her (maybe again, if he was the one responsible for her second "death") because she came back while Shado's still dead.

And Cassidy is not any better at acting than Lotz. Lotz can at least move her face to actually show emotion. She's new to acting, so I'm giving her time to improve, like I did with Amell. Plus she has added bonus of having the athleticism to pull of the stunts.

I get the feeling whoever knocked out Diggle, is more than a lowly henchman. I say that because the outfit seems a bit more customized, with the form fitting outfit and red highlights, so less random mercenary henchman.

And it goes by too fast, even slowing the scene down didn't help, but the person might be holding a black sword. Possibly like the one Slade had on the island. So an apprentice perhaps?

Slade did say he had his allies, and we're supposed to expect Team Arrow to go up against a Team of villains in the final, if I didn't get that wrong. So I'd say there are more prominent villains on the Team, than just Deathstroke and Brother Blood.

How awesome would it be, if it were Ravager?

Ivo wanted Zelenka's eye earlier in the episode. I just find it too much of a co-incidence that he was just after an eye. Maybe Oliver joins forces with Ivo and allows him to overthrow Slade, thus enabling him to take his eye... And Slade blaming Oliver for the loss of his eye in the same way he blames him for Shado's death.

Oliver put an arrow through his eye. That's how he lost it.

Could be Harley Quinn, getting him for ARGUS as well as working as an inside man for Slade.

They've already retconned Sara from the original actress to Lotz.

I just find it strange that they would introduce Ivo only wanting an eye.

The reason for the different actress is because the one from the pilot has an on-going role on another show that would conflict with Arrow. Oliver told Roy in Episode 12 that he put an arrow through Slade's eye.
