Well,I have to say I really enjoyed that episode. I think the writing was much stronger than it's been. I was going to give it a 10 for the first 30 minutes or so,but there was some niggling things that would probably bump this down from a perfect score, but I'll give it a solid 9.5
Thea finally knows...and she reacted like any normal person would! Imagine that! She finally understands why Ollie has acted like a "flake" with all these big bad secrets she's been resenting. It was refreshing to actually feel like the sensible thing was being done for a change.
I think Quinton being the illusion was actually more poignant than Sara, but Sara felt like she was there mostly for Laurel to mix it up with someone. It was nice seeing Caity one more time. It's good that her last scene "made peace" with Laurel. At this point we really don't need to go back and be continually reminded what we're losing with Lotz off the show. "I didn't have to die." Seems like they had her speak for many in the audience.
Quinton finally finds out.Well acted by both he and Katie. I can honestly understand the point of keeping it from him,but it's obvious it's been going on far too long. Wonder what the ramifications will be.
I'm not sure I fully buy Thea's sudden turn against Malcolm. I mean, I don't think she was ever fully in his pocket, but it seemed a bit abrupt. (Well, this is
Thea we're talking about after all)
I was a bit iffy on Roy and the team "standing up" to Oliver. It's not that it didn't play, but like most of the season, it felt like there was a better time and place for that conversation.
Vertigo was...alright. Seems we traded "Joker-lite" for "Khan-lite" as far as the show's Vertigos are concerned. At the end of the day he's still just a drug dealer, nothing particularly special about him.
I really hated Thea going off with DJ D-bag. It could've been handled better, since I don't really see why she isn't with Roy anymore. It seems like they've been cool for a long time now. I get she wanted something "simple", but it seems another contrivance that she and Roy are apart purely for the sake of it. Roy showing up to save her was quite nice.
The flashbacks:......Eh, I'm getting sick of the "missed it by that much" routine. I just want Ollie back on the island for the next two seasons. Hopefully they wrap up this season with him back on the island....far away from Waller.
So, next week looks like it's going to be "mask free" Arrow again.

At least Slade will be there....
