It's really interesting that apart from episode stills, CW has not released any promotional material for this episode like they have every other episode. No sneak peaks, no comic preview, I wonder if the leak was intentional?

I follow Arrow and Flash stuff on facebook and they have posted a couple of clips/scenes there too.

Man, that was an intense chase scene. What is it about Caity Lotz that brings out the best action scenes in this show?

Lots of great character scenes this episode. Everyone getting their moments

This episode reminding me I need more Matt Ryan Constantine :(

The El Rey channel is rerunning the series on Tuesday nights.

I think I'm gonna watch his series now. This episode has been great.I hear some people saying Constantine wasn't in it enough but I disagree, I think he was in it the right amount of time, I'm very satisfied with his screen time.

I wish the Oliver/Laurel/Mayor storyline hadn't been wrapped up so quickly. Oliver was quick to drop Laurel and I feel like their talk should've just been the beginning of him starting to really respect her and value her.

I felt their talk should've been the start of them getting back together.

This was probably my favorite episode of the season. Matt Ryan was brilliant as usual but I like that they gave him some action scenes. That isn't something i really remember them giving him on the show. I liked the Laurel and Oliver scenes as well as Lance and Diggle(I don't think that's pairing I've ever seen before).

So do we think Sara's bloodlust is gone?

My other thought about the spirit realm scene with the pit. There were a lot of hands pulling on her. Is it possible one of those other souls getting out and wreaking havoc. It was performed by John Constantine his magic always come with some price.

I also liked that right after that whole "soul retrieval" sequence that Sara wasn't immediately back to her old self. I like that they are taking time getting Sara back to normal so that when she does return it'll be epic.

Yeah, this has me wanting to watch Constantine now just to get a better read of his character,

Also, he was a guest star, no need for the show to revolve around him. Interesting way they tied him into Ollie's past though.

Well considering it's Laurel, and most of her scenes get cut or not filmed, it doesn't surprise me.

But at the same time, there was a lot packed into this episode, and a lot of scenes felt rushed.

I felt their talk should've been the start of them getting back together.
Same here. I wasn't expecting a kiss or anything, but I did notice Oliver's tie was a little crooked and I was hoping it would set up a cute moment of her adjusting it for him.

I think it was mentioned that we would still see some effects on Legends, so she may be better than she was, but I still don't think she'll be 100% normal ever again.

As expected Matt Ryan stole the show. :)

The guy just defines this role and completely owns it. He's good enough to carry his own feature film. I'm so happy he got to reprise his role again after his short lived show.

(Also loved Thea's comment about John. :D)

  • Constantine's first appearance was...unexpected.
  • Oliver's kind of a ****** friend for considering abandoning his friendship with Laurel just so he'd have a better chance of becoming mayor.
  • Uh...where were all the soldiers when Constantine kidnapped Oliver?
  • The Sara/Thea chase was intense.
  • Wasn't feeling Cassidy's acting in the scene where her character had to confront Oliver.
  • I feel like Laurel gave up on saving Sara far too easily.
  • Thea should've screamed for help when Sara confronted her. To be fair, though, Sara shouldn't have given her the opportunity to speak.
  • Andy was a crime lord. Sucks.
  • Sara vs. Oliver and Laurel was intense.
  • "I'm just glad the latest person from Oliver's past isn't another gorgeous woman." :funny:
  • Rescuing Sara's soul felt a bit...easy.
  • I hope we see more of Constantine in the future. He's a pretty cool dude.
  • The episode felt rushed.
  • I like where Laurel and Oliver ended up at the end.
I'll be generous and give it a 7/10.

I never saw the Constantine series, but he came across as a cool guy. I hope he returns to either Arrow or joins DC Legends so that they can deal with the magic aspect of the DCU.

It makes sense for Sara to go after Thea considering what happened last year.

Diggle and Detective Lance is something you don't see too often.

This is another set up episode for the DC Legends spinoff.

I gotta say, I think they're setting up LoT nicely imo.

This episode was my favorite of the season so far! My first 9/10!
I have never watched the Constantine show, but I really enjoyed his character on here.

Man, Constantine is a really fun character in this episode. I hope we can see him in future episode or something. Maybe Flash?

Loved seeing John Constantine again. I hope this isn't the last time we see Matt Ryan play the character.

My favorite episode of the season so far. This season, at least through five episodes, is better than seasons three or one in my opinion. Season one didn't really get good until around episode 9, and season three never really got good.

this is true it's not gone at all

Arrow" Reveals Secret From Constantine's Past

Matt Ryan's high-profile return to the role of John Constantine contained a surprise about how the character fits into the "Arrow"-verse. SPOILERS!

Read it now on CBR...

Matt Ryan Reveals Secrets Behind Constantine's "Arrow" Resurrection
In the main timeline, Constantine is enlisted, as had been previously revealed, in helping restore Sara's (Caity Lotz) soul following her resurrection via Lazarus Pit. The "restitution" trip to the "other realm" is successful, and the episode ends with the door open for Constantine to potentially return to the show in the future -- though he does warn Oliver that mystically-powered season four villain Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) is someone to be taken very seriously. (Constantine's advice: "You watch yourself around that one, mate.")
he'll return he'll likely be exclusive to arrow for now though

The character's appearance was, for now, strictly a one-time deal, but they left the door open narratively 'just in case'.

Great Episode! Probably my favorite of the season. I'd love to see Constantine appear on Flash as well.

Where's my season blu-ray WB!? Hell, why hasn't the show been put on Netflix yet?!
