Avatar: The Legend Of Korra - Part 6

fans are going all out with their korrasami art:

I wondered if that was real or not. Good work! :woot:

Beautiful artwork. They make such a great couple. Nothing about them looks or feels out of place.

Just started Legend of Korra and I must say, Korra's bisexuality being canon is great because it can be there from the very beginning and her relationship with Asami is going to feel way more natural as the show and the characters progress together.

How far are you into it, Aes'? It's seriously such a great show. There's a couple bumps here and there but it's just too damn good.

i went out and bought the first 3 seasons on bluray the other day. started season 2 last night. when i'm done i'll go through them again with commentary.

That sounds like a great and logical plan. I need to buy the TLA seasons and do the same thing!

Indeed... WHAT A WONDERFUL WORLD. Ladies and Gentlemen... THE LEGEND OF KORRA.

Good luck in the Spirit World you two crazy kids. :word:

Dang! That's impressive, do you have a link to his stuff? I'd love to get him to do some of my Spirit of Earth characters.

I'm really missing this show, but it's great to see fan interest so high! I hope fans keep it up, it's definitely a show that shouldn't be forgotten (and I don't think it will!)

That's why I honestly believe we'll get a third series, whether it be something like my Spirit of Earth idea or something else entirely (both are acceptable, lol), cause the fans want it! Yes, all things must come to an end, but it's technically up to the fans if things truly end, and if the finale proved one thing, it's that we still love the Avatar universe, and we want to come back to it.

Give it another 5 or so years. It'll be back.

Problem is that most new cartoons are CGIed now, imagine an Avatar show like that, it would most likely be a bit weird to see, though The Clone Wars did work with a 3D anime inspired style, so i guess it depends on how it's done.

I think a comic book continuation is the most likely chance for the future of the franchise.

Indeed! I actually contacted him to see if he might up for drawing some of my characters!

On a more serious note, a friend gave me a good idea for a story to write on one of the websites I work for. Mainly how need shows like Legend of Korra on the air because of how they aren't afraid to do both deep stories, and show strong, compelling characters of both genders. I'm totally going to run with this, but I want to ask you all as well:

What makes Legend of Korra (to you) different than a LOT of other cartoon shows on the air today?

Hello. So, I just finished up Avatar:TLA series not too long ago and I'm about to get into this show. I've heard some good things and I'm looking forward to it. However, before I start there is a question I need to ask about the final episode in TLA titled "Avatar Aang." I'll keep it spoiler tagged just in case.

How exactly did Aang defeat the fire lord? I understand that he took away the lord's fire bending using that technique he gained from the Lion-Turtle but prior to that, Aang appeared to have entered the Avatar State during the fight with the Fire Lord. How was that possible? I was under the impression or understanding that Aang had blocked the Chakra (spelling) during his training because of his love for Katara and was told by his teacher that he wouldn't be able to manually enter the Avatar State. Then, when he did attempt it he was mortally wounded in the back by Azula's lightning thus closing his ability to reenter the Avatar State. Right? So, how did he seemingly enter the Avatar State during that final fight with the Fire Lord? I'm confused on this so anyone with an explanation would surely be appreciated.

Ozai caused Aang to fly back and have a rock hit the spot where Azula hit Aang. The impression you get is that hitting that spot unblocked Aang's chakra.

During the fight, Aang had hit a rock protruding from the side of a wall. I assume it was a pressure point that unlocked a chakra that prevented. It was also the spot where Azula shot him with the lightning.

I love the finale , but there are like three deus ex machinas in a row. First a giant turtle comes out of nowhere to give him life advice, then the rock thing, which remains the worst @sspull of both series, and then out of nowhere again he can energybend.
