Battlefield 3 - Part 1

Shooting a jet that is flying away from you, while you are parachuting to the ground tops those. You wouldn't even be able to pull a rifle out to even attempt that. You are strapped into your seat, there would be no where for you to even have a rifle once ejected. Even if you somehow managed to pull a rifle out of your ass, there is no way your rounds would even reach the plane, by the time its passed you and you have ejected the plane would be way out of range. I know this game isn't trying to be hyper realistic, but shooting a jet with a rifle and destroying it is ridiculous. If i got shot down by an AK 74 in a jet id cut the game off.

I'll take shooting at a plane while ejected over 360 no scopes, dual wielded shotguns, and flying at a target with a knife.

LOL.

It shouldn't even be in BF to begin with. Leave that Arnold nonsense to the michael bay love fest that is CoD

If the jet was flying super sonic I'd be on your side. :o

Sometimes you gotta choose between realism and fun.

You can have both. Shooting a jet down with an infantry rifle is just dumb. DICE should make it so when you eject from a plane you can't equip any weapon until you reach the ground.

Eh, I'm fine with being able to equip a weapon as you parachute but I have to agree that shooting down a plane with a rifle is pretty stupid.

But it was in Battlefield to begin with. It's an arcade game.
It's also worth noting that I had almost completely damaged his plane with my own before shooting it. A realistic game would have were you specifically hit a vehical effecting it. To date, the only FPS game that does that is Red Orchestra 2 and flight simulators. Which, me and about 2 other people play. This is a bro game for bro's, it is bro in nature. It has a rapper man advertising the game, it's aimed at people with baggy trousers and children who the army need to go to war. It's probably goverment founded. This and Call Of Duty is just a method to Recruit kids and early to late 20's bro's. It's very much like that movie, toys. It was way ahead of it's time and very under-rated. Probably Robin Williams best movie. The point is, it's suppose to make war fun and cool. What I did was awsome and fun.

So I can finally live my dream and reenact this scene:

Console Battlefield 3 to Include Optional High-Res Textures
If you pick up Battlefield 3 for Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 later this month, you'll have the option of installing a set of higher resolution textures, too, Electronic Arts confirmed this afternoon.

It's optional on both platforms.

EA didn't have additional details on the texture pack, and we may have to wait until the game's released to find out whether there's a substantial difference if you choose not (or in the case of some Xbox 360 machines, cannot) to install the add-on.

Can't wait to bust a Joker and take down a highly expensive jet with a hand gun.

Pre-ordered this and Batman: Arkham City the other day

Completely lame.... Oh, except for that part where you're in an awesome jet.

Man, the campaign in this game sounds disappointing. That's one area where COD will still remain dominant I guess. Oh well, atleast the multiplayer is fun.

Well, I'm buying BF3 for the MP and MW3 for the campaign, so it doesn't bother me much.

So, I was watching some Grand Bazaar gameplay and I noticed that ur team mates got little death symbols over their bodies when they died. They so have been needing that, it adds an additional reference on where enemies are on the map. Also, the dev mentioned how squad leaders can issue orders that u can gain points from when u follow them. I asked on how that worked and some suggested that it may be the same as using the spotting feature, only on objective points.

But the campaign in CoD sucks as well. So I guess it dominates in not sucking the most.

Like with BC2, i won't spend much time with the sp, at all. The first thing I'm going to do when I boot this game up is hit up some Conquest on Caspian Border

Never met a smart shooter with a enthralling story. Bioshock came close but it's not considered a strict shooter.

I read on Joystiq that they think the Beta was a complete failure in several aspects, most importantly: not being even a remotely accurate representation of the game we will be playing in a few days. They say a lot of things will change making the feel and handling drastically different in concern with combat. And I think they are chiming in on the rumors about the Beta not being an older build, and that DICE/EA are lying about all that as the Beta was released so close to final release. Also the fact that pc beta testers don't require certification like consolers, and yet they have the same bug/glitches. So, EA's excuses of why consolers are getting this older build with bugs and glitches is because of certification is bogus.

We'll find out on the 25th.
