Battlefield 3 - Part 1

I went with the BC2 tags. Maybe they'll have some Vietnam tags. On another note, what if they give us a BF2142 DLC pack like they gave BFVietnam for BC2?

So, you tilt the jet with the right analog and steer it with the left? Like, there's literally no tutorial lol I don't know how anyone figures it out.

I managed to turn it around today but it was the slowest granny turn in history; no cool spin-turns like I see all the other dudes doing. Then I promptly exploded right after haha.

I played a lot of Ace Combat back in the day so I feel comfortable with the jets.

Anyhow nah, in this game the right analog does it all. Roll your jet by tilting it in the direction you wanna move, then pull down on both analog sticks. It'll slow you down so your turns are faster. Coming out of the turn, straighten out and speed back up. Just keep practicing and check the controls in the menu. No vehicle tutorial is a BF staple haha but it's really rewarding when you finally master piloting.

lmao I got a triple kill w/ a jet in Rush. I was trying to shake this dude off my tail as somebody from my team armed the bomb, so I made a pass and I caught 3 guys trying to disarm it.

I don't use a mic, but was on a team with someone talking, he just kept saying how everyone who killed him was an ******* with no life.

Which is why I don't use mics ever.

Usually when people communicate they are generally calling me a stupid - and saying the game is a pile of - or calling there team a bunch of - s' for not being on a par with there super leet skills.

PS> It's so unbelievably satisfying to shoot down a jet/chopper with the rocket launcher. Locking on with a heat-seaker and watching them try to desperately shake it, then seeing them explode and crash to the earth is just so awesome.

I haven't even heard so much as that. It's pointless to not have a mic in these games and to use it to help your team. I don't know how many times iv tried asking for help defending a flag only to get NO back up because no one can hear my feeble cries for help as a tank and 5 soldiers roll up to the flag.

Im now at the point in this game and escpecially in Gears 3 where I don't bother playin online unless iv got some buddies. If I wanted to sit there in silence by myself I'd go play a single player game. Wish dice would open a few servers that bans party chat and requires mics.

I don't need it to play, but it would be nice to communicate with my team. As for that requesting help in a Battlefield game, it's standard procedure to not help the person asking for it. Once you learn that no one will help you, you'll stop asking for help; thereby, training you not help others when they specifically ask for it. It's a vicious cycle.

This is my first Battlefield game...love it so far.I am not so good at multiplayer but it's fun anyway.I think Conquest is m favourite type.SP so far is nothing new but fun overall.I am usually online so add me if you want:]

Bad Company 2's campaign is way better. It's more fun and the characters are funny. This campaign is really boring and has nothing interesting going on.

Returned this game back to the video store today. It was fun while it lasted but I won't miss it at all.

I didn't like Bad Company 2's SP either. Granted, it was abit more open but the attempts at humour and buddy thing kinda fell flat for me. They should probably take notes from Portal 2 next time.

Got it today, my first Battlefield game. Haven't played the SP yet, just playing multiplayer. Totally different to CoD. I remember i used to run around getting 40 odd kills on TDM on there.

Not that this isn't wicked though. I'm loving it. I've came top of my team a few times, mainly due to being an all out flag attacker. Haven't had a go in the jet or chopper yet.

That's all I do in the flag missions....crouch somewhere where no one will see me.I always come out on top on those games

I've been playing it at my friends on PS3 and he hasn't touched SP either. My girlfriends picking it up for me tonight, stoked to see how it looks on Xbox.

Interesting. I've heard quite a few less than exciting things about BF3's SP which is a shame because BC 2's SP was a lot of fun and highly enjoyable.

I think i'm going to hold off on this for while to see if the niggles get fixed.
The 40-50 second thing between rounds is really anoying.
