Only if you see the comments on almost every news site, VERY few people are happy :/
If you look at the comments on any news site for ANY story, nobody is happy.

He is going to be the co-star and kick Superman's ass.
Some of the twitter responses are brutal...

That is the exact point. It is that others think Affleck is a horrible actor or anything. Just wrong for the part. I keep trying to see it my mind, and it works for some shots, but then I think about his face and him speaking and I just can't see it.Before seeing The Town I would have been very let down by this. But Affleck is a good actor, I just dont him as Batman at all though, he just doesnt carry the threat for it for me and he always plays the same character.
Zod was laughable? I was under the impression that Shannon's performance as Zod was very well received.
I really can't imagine anybody being let down by this.
Good (yes, good) actor. Right look. Right age. Experience behind camera. Fit.
It's a very good choice. Maybe a safe one, but a very good one.
Yeah, because Superman really needs to be humbled... I can't believe I just read that. It'll be good for Superman to be reminded that he isn't invincible after the victory he had in the first film.
Don't clean up the language. Show the phrase for how idiotic it really is.Laughing hard at the reaction to this news. Especially on Twitter.
''Ruined my childhood''... one of the classics, although I thought that statement was reserved only for Bay's movies.
I knew right after Christopher Nolan left, it wouldn't take long for Warner Bros to ruin Batman again.
You can do a lot worse than Affleck. A lot worse. He's a solid pick.
You were under the wrong impression. Faora was more liked than Zod.
I've never understood the hate that Affleck gets either, BUT it's more limited to being a "geek' thing...if the general public hated him like alot of our geek brethren do, he wouldn't be the big name star he is.
even if you like the idea of affleck...this is still hilarious.
