Erm. The cowl was made after Affleck, just saying. It was designed around his head.

It was also made after Bale in TDK trilogy and after Keaton in Burtons films, but it didn't fit them very well.

To be fair, Affleck would look weird as hell in a TDK style cowl.

I understand that. I'm just saying that, with his good square jaw, prominent chin and thin lips, Affleck makes a pretty convincing Batman -- he sort of disappears behind it. I don't know much about costume design, but, in creating /molding a cowl, I imagine that it helps when an actor doesn't have unusually distinct features (e.g., a chubby round face, pouty lips, a bulbous nose).

Probably. It's not the most visually pleasing cowl after all. By the way, now I'm interested to see that, are there any manips of Batfleck in TDK cowl?

That pic at comic con....why the **** can't we see it?

I've been asking myself that every morning when I wake up and every single time when I go to bed.

Well... right after "where am I?"

I think it did fit them well; and that's sort of my point. Both Keaton and Bale have somewhat distinctive looking jaws; and I think that makes it more easy to identify them behind their respective cowls. Affleck, on the other hand, is sort of generic looking in the lower portion of his face; and when you're playing Batman, that can be a pretty good thing. It helps you disappear.

What? That chin is very distinctive. The mouth too.

I'll give you the former, but a lot of people have prominent cleft chins; and that's also a feature Batman is commonly known to possess in the comics. I disagree on the mouth.

I mean Cav-El even has a pretty prominent cleft chin actually IMO.

Affleck has that distinctive chin going for him. Pure batfleck. After 20 years of Batman prowling around you would think Gotham would put together a scavenger hunt "Alright people, let's put together a list of known people in the city who have butt-chins! That should narrow it down!" :woot:

It's also pure Batman.

And, again, it's not that uncommon to have prominent cleft chins. Like BF79 pointed out, Cavill has it too.

I can tell you this now, I'd likely not recognize anyone with only their lower jaw exposed.

Especially at night. I imagine once you come face to face the BatFleck, the last thing you'll think is, "Mmmh, let's look at his chin type,". :woot:

People who do caricature art are really good at noticing such differences. Their job is basically to find and accentuate/exaggerate them in a humorous fashion.

Superman has finally been spotted and photographed on set.

They have one week to get Batfleck out there before I start throwing folding chairs and passing out from exhaustion.

How many chairs before you pass out?

It's needed for my dissertation.

If I've gotten eight hours of sleep or more, around twenty seven chairs.

Anything less, three.

For some reason I don't think Snyder would shoot Batman in the daylight.

Affleck could be on set and in costume during the day with the intention to film indoors. It would be lucky to catch him walking to one, or from one to another.
