his hair is so perfect for not doing the bruce wayne ;D

B89 is great for it's entertainment value, and innovation. Great performances from Keaton, and Nicholson. Amazing set design, and atmosphere. First logical black batsuit. And in essence a nod to the earliest incarnation of the character, the 1939 Bob Kane stuff. It's an important film, the first non tongue in cheek superhero film.

Batman Returns is just a warped Burton film. Just as campy as the Shumacher films that followed but wrapped in a darker package.

Rises was a let down
Due to the asinine hype of expectations of having to succeed a superior film, and instant cinematic classic. It was bound by destiny for polarized opinion being a definitive conclusion, and never possibly being able to live up to it's own hype.

TDK got sloppy in the final acts
No it doesn't, TDK has the best final act of the entire series. It does so without plot devices of this entire city gets destroyed via biological attack, or a nuclear bomb.

BEGINS is guilty of getting sloppy in the 3rd act. It devolves from quality character study in the first 2 acts of a loner, fiercly determined, enraged orphan turned vigilante into an all out run of the mill blockbuster.

Still a good film, and a great Batman film. TDK Rises is a cyclical re-telling of Batman Begins, with a more engaging villian, and a more believable / frightening macguffin. The neutron bomb plot device.

So why would it be a let down? It validates the ideas that started in Batman Begins. Loosen up your ascot, skinny jeans, and shave your neck beard dude.

TDK trilogy is on par with even the best stories from the source material.

if it weren't for Ledger, I'd hate it entirely.
Why? The characterization of Bruce, Dent, and Gordon are all top notch. Nothing is out of character in respect to the source material, and it's the first time we see Bruce act heroic in day time not having the comfort of darkness, and his bat suit.

Ledger wasn't alone, his colorful portrayl is all the more special when bounced off the more subtle, albeit just as amazing acting from Bale, Eckhart, and Oldman.

Is this one of those, I'm attempting to be uniquely different, and in retrospect nitpicking a great film to death kind of things? Hipster status or something?

I think it's awesome we haven't had anyone get a shot of Affleck in costume on set.

Basically defines there difference as characters. Superman is a public hero, with power, who hopes the public doesn't fear him.

Batman maintains his secrecy as a scary, urban legend who only comes out at night, with the public never truly getting a good look at him. Otherwise it would destroy his credibility as a mythic legend.

Did you legitimately just call someone (me) a "hipster" because of an *opinion??'
That's rich :woot: Cause, ya know, "WingedAvenger89" is in no way a biased user name toward those films

I am the farthest thing from an ascot and skinny jeans...but the laugh was worth it.

I don't remember where that info came from.

I guess it's possible that he could come back after Thanksgiving weekend but I just have a feeling that that's not going to happen, maybe my feeling is ******** I don't know.

Yeah, I just remember seeing some 'they snuck him into NM set' post and it went like wildfire from there. But saying it's the holiday and the place is a ghost town...he'd be there pretty much alone doing not a damn thing. Haha

Are you sure about this? Considering that she's in Thailand, I'd bet that she is.
They haven't filmed anything major yet I suppose.. they wrap on Dec. 8 so this week should be big in filming (not sure on set pics :p)

It's just nine days from now, I'd be very surprised if they haven't filmed the major part yet and have left it for the very end. By the way, it seems that Cavill left the NM as well. I'm pretty sure they're only going to do some wider shots of the location and additional shots with extras until the 8th December ("ah, distinctly I remember"... sorry I was enjoying Poe recently :woot:) and that would be it.

Maybe the shots with Eisenberg, if it's at all true that he's there.

We'll see if they come back to New Mexico through the fans I suppose.

Yeah. It's a good thing Cavill has a habit of taking pictures with people everywhere he is, so his movements can easily be followed.

So much for bringing down surveillance drones, ol' Supey. We know where you hang your cape anyway. :oldrazz:

All of this is connected!! :argh: remember when he leaked Cyborg will be on BvS and in Justice League :o
It's all part of the plan.

Does he really look like a guy with a plan?

Production has plans. WB has plans. Snyder's got plans. They're schemers.
