Interesting. I find the smaller openings on the new cowl to be a significant improvement over the gaping sockets of its predecessors. You can hardly tell that Ben's wearing eye makeup in the former.

Yes! To me, Bale's cowl has always been subtly reminiscent of a Japanese Oni mask. I liked that about it, though.
