Black Panther Sequel ideas...

Enemy of the State would work best and it would make sense that by exposing Wakanda to the world it would put not only their way of life in danger but Wakanda would be seen in the eyes of the world as a hostile nation. Think about it they are harboring United States citizens who are superheroes or in this case prisoners of the state who are or who would be seen as fugitives. Wakanda is giving them passage into their country and the United States government SHIELD, HYDRA or what have you would see that as treason. Or they would see that as a betrayal on the part of the nation of Wakanda and of course they would want to go to war.

Or Black Panther well King T'Challa would be seen as a criminal in their eyes.

Whatever story they choose, it HAS to end with T'Challa essentially maneuvering everyone into position for him to get the victory "Christopher Priest-style".

The obvious way to go would be to deal with the fallout of
T'Challa opening up Wakanda more to the outside world. Because that won't be 100% smooth sailing.

As for the villain, Moses Magnum is a possibility.

Djimon Hounsou even though he has been a part of the Marvel universe already playing a character in Guardians of the Galaxy I would definitely want to see him in the Black Panther universe especially as Achebe

Or I would go with David Oyelowo as Achebe

I would have said Chiwetel if he weren't a part of the MCU already playing Mordo but still

Or how about Michael Jai White?

Good choices. I'll add Barkhad Abdi and Nonso Anozie to that list.

Nonso actually liked a tweet I sent him regarding his involvement in BP2. Hopefully his agents are on the case.

Barkhad is one of the more prolific Africans in Hollywood. If he can't get in BP2 he needs to sack his managers.

Djimon could be the voice of Bast, Brother Voodoo, or just where an outfit, grow out his beard and play an elder. His role was so small and crappy in Guardians, I doubt any one would notice or care that he's a returning actor.

I'm becoming a little obsessed with the idea of the War Dogs.
Nate Moore describes them as spies that infiltrate the government of each nation to throw them off track if they ever get too close to learning Wakanda's secrets.

It got me thinking that Wakanda must have trained operatives of different ethnicities and adopted them as honorary Wakandans. In the 3rd act W'kabi mentions the War dogs in New York, London and Hong Kong, were ready to ride for Killmonger.

It would be a total trip to see white and Chinese people speaking African-Wakandan. For what it's worth non black people growing up in Africa and speaking in the native accent is not new.

Seeing as an African had experience in South Korea I would think that Wakandas war dogs went in as students and workers without a Ross given citizenship and a spying commission

The War Dogs concept is an interesting concept too

Yep I could see that too. And who's to say he hasn't built up a network of allies that are native to whatever country they've infiltrated.

My "White Wakandan" idea actually came from the comicbook origin of the White Wolf who was a white adopted son of T'chaka and grew up as a Wakandan like any other citizen.

They could re-purpose that idea and have Chinese, Indian, Australian, Brazilian, British etc as "adopted sons" sent out to the world to become deep cover international spies.

I would have loved to see Hunter the White Wolf as the bad guy in the sequel, but they kinda used bits and pieces of his character with Killmonger.

Achebe would be a great villain because he'd be significantly different than either Killmonger, Klaw or M'Baku.

Just got done looking up stuff about BP (I spend a good amount of free time looking up stuff on the Marvel wiki) and was just about to start a thread about White Wolf before seeing this one. I think he'd be an interesting character for them to put in a BP film since there are multiple ways for them to reinterpret him. He could easily be an ally of BP initially who turns somewhat conflicted in later films or they could keep him as a trusted confidant of BP should they not want to introduce the darker aspects of White Wolf.

The problem is that
White Wolf seems to be Bucky, according to that after credit scene. It may mean that they don't plan to bring the comics version of White Wolf to the sequel.

Bucky is going to be [BLACKOUT]White Wolf by name,[/BLACKOUT] but they can still use the idea of a non African Wakandan turning on his people.
I really like the dogs of war story line. Found a breakdown here.

Basically the War Dog spies kinda get out of control and revolt against T'chala. So he has to take theme down.

The problem with bringing the White Wolf to the screen is that they essentially merged his and Killmonger's characters together.

Killmonger even wears a "white" Black Panther outfit at the end that's very close to Hunter's.

Having another character in a variation of T'Challa's outfit seems kinda redundant.

Do you guys think there will be a two? I agree that the latest it will be out 2021! :) :gngl: Also it will be cool if Erik isn’t really dead and he needs his help! I think they should make a second one, but not rush so I can’t wait until 2021. Did they get the rights to Xman yet? If they do I think they should just keep Storm as his side kick. Not his love interest. I like Nakia. The Chadwick and Lupita don’t agree with storm coming in as a love interest either. ???????????? He was like you trying to take Nakia away from me? ????????????

I want more Africans in the film. Even if it's supporting roles.

And I'd love if we got a scene actually filmed in Africa. Ghana or Kenya or South Africa, make it happen.

The movie is approaching a billion dollars worldwide. There's gonna be a sequel.

Of the new release dates announced yesterday, February 18, 2022 seems perfectly set for a BP sequel.

Marvel ain't waiting 4 years for this film.

It will be released May 2021.
The thing to remember with most Marvel movies is that their initial release date is almost never what the actual release date will be. There's so much time between now and when Phase 4 starts that their schedule is likely still fairly fluid. I think BP2 will eventually be one of the 2021 releases.

I am not sure what you could mean by this?

It's like going: "You know what I want in a sequel to SEVEN SAMURAI? More Japanese people."

It's set in Africa with most of the cast being American or British. Not too much to hope that they might include more Africans with notable roles in a sequel.

Also, SS was made in Japan by Japanese cast/crew. So, what's your point?

I agree. 2021 seems most logical and likely.I'm betting May 2021
