The Winter Soldier Captain America 2: News and Speculation - - - - - - Part 19

Grillo in The Grey really, really made me notice him as a character actor. Then I also checked him out in Warrior. Really great stuff.

He's got a great agent or something, landing him pretty memorable roles in these indie films, and then getting him Rumlow in Cap. He did fantastic work in a small part. I cannot wait for Bones to be beefed up!

I'm surprised he hasn't been a big name until more recently. Can you believe he's 50 years old?

Grillo would have made a good Frank Castle had he not been Brock Rumlow.

He didn't start acting until he was 30 and if you saw his acting on the soap Guiding Light when he was in his mid 30s you wouldn't be surprised. I don't think he became a decent actor until his 40s.

My question is where the hell is Hawkeye??? He is the only avenger who has yet to receive any sort of character development. Hell even Maria hill has had more to of than him. It's weird he didn't show up at all in Cap 2 considering everything that happened. It would have been cool if he even was a guest star on Agents of Shield just to expand his character. It's not like Renner was busy shooting anything of note. Is he even in avengers 2??! Did marvel just forget about him?

Um, I think someone said Renner was shooting American Hustle at the time of TWS.

He's all over AoU - head over to the AoU forum and you'll see a ton of pics and vids of him. They'll likely explain his absence in AoU, but he's all up in there.

I see. Hopefully his absence makes sense story wise and it's not just some throw away line like " I was off on a secret mission for no apparent reason". But it would be a twist if Hawkeye was really a Hydra member..

I have had my fill of Hydra surprises for now.
I hope Hawkeye is still on the straight and narrow .

Nooooooo to Clint being a HYDRA member. Could NOT handle that. Plus, since he was already brainwashed in TA, that would be a bit repetitive.

I think we'll be happier with Clint's role in AoU.

Just so you know....people can't read the article in the second link unless they subscribe to the site.

I had the problem then I clicked "save page as" from my browser and downloaded the article as a pdf.

Interesting article, especially audience reviews saying a film like it could not currently be made in China with a Chinese hero.

I wonder if we'll ever get the full story on his eye injury.

Well the Comic book, Battle Scars, that introduces the MCU Nick to the 616 universe has it.
Nick JUNIOR gets his eye removed while he's captured in the 5th issue. A guy that Captures him and "DAD" pulls it out because he didn't see the resemblance between the two.

When Fury took off his eye-patch I expected there to be a hole where his eye should be.

Thank goodness they didn't go that route. I have eye issues. It would have been traumatic. :mag
