Well, it's been out for a month internationally.

About the plot twist in steve rogers cap book. It seems like it was the red skull doing during the event of avengers standoff. Remember red skull still has xavier's power, he perhaps implanted a false memory into steve before he turned young again by kobik

Where do people think Cap 3 is going to end up on the all-time highest grossing movies list? It's currently at #17 below TDKR, Transformers: Age of Extinction, Skyfall and LOTR: ROTK. Will it break the top 10?

Also, how can Skyfall have fallen below LOTR: ROTK? If Skyfall was #7 at one point, and this was years after LOTR, then it meant it grossed more than it. How has it now grossed less? Has ROTK been released again somehow? Unless it was never above ROTK when in the top 10?

I think it will get to #12, above TF2, it could pass Minios for #11, but I don't think it will reach Iron Man 3 at #10

Really confusing, but if I remove all the post 2012 releases (Skyfall is 2012), then it lands at #7, so maybe RotK was always there at #6?

1 Avatar Fox $2,788.0 $760.5 27.3% $2,027.5 72.7% 2009^
2 Titanic Par. $2,186.8 $658.7 30.1% $1,528.1 69.9% 1997^
3 Marvel's The Avengers BV $1,519.6 $623.4 41.0% $896.2 59.0% 2012
4 Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 WB $1,341.5 $381.0 28.4% $960.5 71.6% 2011
5 Transformers: Dark of the Moon P/DW $1,123.8 $352.4 31.4% $771.4 68.6% 2011
6 The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King NL $1,119.9 $377.8 33.7% $742.1 66.3% 2003^

ROTK has always been ahead of Skyfall. When Skyfall was at #7, ROTK was at #6.

I can state FOR SURE that this was the BO # for ROTK. I don't remember a re-release, but do know that it stayed in a few theaters for what seemed like forever. BOM says a re-release, but I just don't recall it.

I think CW has a "chance" to crack the top 10, but I'm a frelling Pollyanna.

If they did the trilogy in 3D, I'd go see it again. I think I'm gonna go buy one of those upscaling 4K blu rays and see how it works. They're pretty cheap these days and one of my kids broke the optical audio output on my home theater blu ray. Pissed me off that no one fessed up, but I've been looking for an excuse to get a new blu ray player. Maybe it was one of their bonehead friends....

BOM list a re relase in 2011 to add 800k DOM, no international numbers. If Skyfall was ahead, then it had to be #6 for Skyfall, #7 for RotK

Yeah. 800K off its totals still puts it over 10M ahead of Skyfall. ROTK was always ahead of it WW and DOM.

$2.077 million Thursday. Domestic at $357.5 million headed into the holiday weekend.

What do you folks think will be its total after Monday? I'm thinking about $1.115B, just ahead of Skyfall and just behind The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.

Captain America is at $357,475,948 let's say over the 4 day weekend it makes $24 million it would land at around 381 million give or take. Do you think it can make another 30 million or so to land around $411 million dollars which will beat Ironman 3 Domestic gross I think it can. I don't see it beating Ironman3 World Wide Gross but I think it will beat it's domestic gross and be the highest solo domestic MCU movie.

What other movies do you see coming out this Summer that can make over $400 million domestic and over a billion world wide? The only one I can think of is Finding Dory and maybe Independence Day 2. How many billion dollars world wide films will we have in 2016? 2015 had five films that made over a billion dollars world wide Force Awakens, Jurassic World, Age of Ultron, Fast 7, and Minions. I can only see 2 for sure Civil War already and Rogue One.

It will beat IM3 domestic, though not by a lot (less than $10 million I'd say).

$1.115 billion sounds as good a guess as any.

That great number to finish at.

It won't finish at that. I think he was responding to my question about where the movie will be at after Monday. That number was my prediction.

About $22M domestic + $20M foreign over the next 4 days = $42M.

$42M + $1,073,775,948 = $1,115,775,948.

you actually think it will make 20 million overseas ? friday china less than 800,00 dollars-and thats biggest overseas market,

Yikes, okay. That prediction might have to be amended then. I'm still trying to get the hang of overseas box office. I guess I figured since it did about $30M last weekend it could do about $20M Friday to Monday.

Well, X-Men Apoc is doing DoFP numbers for OW, but Alice is tanking, Tomorrowland-style. Let's see how this play for CW

XMA does have much weaker RT score than DOFP, so it might end up doing less at the box office if the WOM is worse.

Alice tanking doesn't surprise me at all. The only reason why it did a billion last time is because the general audience needed its 'Avatar 3D fix'. That's the only reason I saw Alice last time, because I badly wanted to see another 3D movie after Avatar.

Also Tim Burton didn't direct this one and it probably has an impact as well.
