Chapter 11: "Powerless" discussion thread 12/03

how long does it take for the show to get on the NBC site?

Hot damn, that was a shocker. Y'all know what I'm talking about.

As soon as the shots rang I was all like "HOLY S**T!"

Shocking ending. Loved the episode, and I was worried it would feel heavily rushed (due to the strike shortening things), and while it was a little, it was still great to watch.

Can't wait for Volume 3...GREAT TITLE/CONCEPT!!! That is exactly what I feel this show has needed.

i didnt really pay much attention but what was all that stuff in that room where the virus was in?

Fantastic ending to an ultimately lame season. I'm glad we're finally seeing Sylar become Sylistor. :bh:

God dammit they just had to kill off the older hero who can fly. Why not just kill wes he is pretty crappy character anyways.:cmad:

Wes didn't need to be killed, and if they did, it would be because of all the hate of the character. A more reformed way was him flying off into the sky, going to weep about his break-up from not-really-that-hot Claire.

WOW I AM IN SHOCK!!!!
Do you think it was Noah who shot him?

That's definitely a possibility, I think. Although, Ms. Petrelli knows something vital, and she never even speaks abour HRG.

I made a mistake. It looked to be a liquid. That led me to think it was man-made as opposed to biological. Sort of like a chemical weapon and therefore could take a gaseous state.
The only biological chemical weapons are inhibitors or poisons that bind to enzymes which in turn stop catabolic reactions in your body, killing you. I don't think viruses or bacteria can be alive in a gaseous state. They can be present in a gas, but I don't think they can survive the state transition from liquid to gas.

It could have been Noah but I hope it wasn't I'm gonna have to watch that part again.

How could you say he was Visable all you saw was the back of him.

You could see the side of his head as he turned, it was Noah. Plus I have an hdtv with hd cable so I got a good glimpse of him. If it isn't Noah, they damn near look exactly like him.

Wow, quite an episode. While many things that were leaked turned out to be true after all (Nathan die(?), Maya came back, and Nikki bited it), it wasn't a bad episode, although I don't see it as season finale due to the fact that the season was cut short due to strike. Adam might be a villain, but I do see him as a tragic figure as well, and I don't think he deserves to be buried alive. However, letting him live would give the writers the flexibility to bring him back if they wanted to.

I'd like to know what deal was struck between HRG and Bob; I mean, he can't just turned into a Company Man so soon. There must be a reason why HRG would cooperate with the people he wanted to bring down.

I think Nikki's death was rather anti-climatic and if she does die, it'd bring a weak conclusion to a bad-written character that had so much potential. Interesting, Ali Larter did an interview on Kevin & Bean of KROQ this morning (heard it while driving to work), and both DJs asked Larter if Nikki was going to be killed, which she refused to disclosed. I think alot of people already figured it out.

As for Ma Petrelli, she's quite cold-blooded to OK the decision to murder one of her sons; I guess the Original 12 probably did many terrible things that they don't want to disclose. Perhaps Adam was right saying how evil the Company is...

They were going to kill Claire and his family, not just use Claire for her blood.

it seem she was in the same place and look like she was wearing the same outfit as the killer. it least that i thought at first. i'm going to watch it again tomorrow and see if i think the same thing.

This is just like the hooded killer thing.

It is most likely a stand-in for now unless they already have the twist planned ahead. Or even if they had the twist like the Adam Monroe thing. So just looking may not be the be-all-end-all answer in this case.

HRG shot Nathan. Reasons:
- He was forced to join the Company again in order to keep his family safe.
- He tried to convince Claire to NOT expose their secrets.
- The Company didn't want the secrets exposed to everyone.
- The Company sent HRG to assassinate Nathan because they do not want the secrets exposed.

Anyone else agree? Disagree? More reasons?

AND

Perhaps the funniest moment in Heroes:

- Peter zapping Hiro through his sword: $30
- Nikki burnt to a crisp in a fire explosion: $170
- Matt riding Nathan: Priceless

"Easy! Easy!! Whoa, whoa! Let's not tell anyone about this. Ever." LMFAO:woot:
