Chapter 44 - "The Eclipse, Part 1" - Discussion Thread 11/17/2008

what is your question?

Parkman might think Peter is a murderer in the future because he kills Arthur. think about it... they never showed Arthur in the future.

but then again, they couldn't show Arthur because that would give away the twist.

After watching those clips I'm glad Nathan is finally getting called out, now I only hope he listens to Peter and doesn't stay so thick headed and full of himself.

Matt thinks Peter is a murderer because he shot Nathan in the present, but he didn't know it was future Peter

He knows now that Peter isn't a killer, he read Peters mind. Though you'd think Matt would be thinking I wonder who sent me out there than hmm. I have a feeling Hatians brother has the power to cause fights, that could be why Peter and Nathan are fighting in the promo. Let me know if I said this already but its just a theory of mine.

yes I know, I should have said "Thought" instead of "Thinks"

How lame would a person's power be if they caused fights:dry:

SuperT linked to the EPKs for this episode, and there's an interview there with the actor playing the Haitian's brother, Samedi, and he states that his character's ability is
impenetrable skin
.

But the ability to cause fights is so much cooler:dry::)

No... when we first see Peter and Parkman in the future, Peter had not yet gone back to shot Nathan... and even when he does he doesn't kill him.

Too bad. I was hoping for something more interesting.

I thought his ability was to control the dead. It was written in some articel, unless that was another character.

Looking forward to this episode, especially since it's going to be a two-parter. Not too sure about the last episode, I thought the pacing was a little off; but as this is only the first part hopefully the writers will be able to get it exactly right.

That is definitely a power for a villain. I like it. Is Samedi one of escaped villains from level 5?

Yes, Samedi is one of the Level 5 escapees.

I keep a fairly close watch on spoilers, and I don't recall ever coming across any articles saying what his power was. I've seen a lot of fan speculation that his power has something to do with the dead, but I suspect that's just because his name comes from Baron Samedi, one of the Loa in the Vodou religion. Perhaps, Samedi has some voodoo skills in addition to his power.

I certainely hope not. That is too cliche for words.

w00t!!!!1 oh the anticipation.

Heroes is the only thing to look forward to on Mondays. I think it's what gets me through the work day.

I know me too! I dread Mondays, but then when I get home I remember Heroes is on!

Anyone notice that the main female characters are all blonde except Angela?

this Suresh stuff is disgusting

Claire, Elle, Tracy, Meredith, Claire's mother (I can never remember her name), Daphne. Wow, I never did notice that until you pointed it out

Is it just so annoying that Claire last week was all, "I'm the Catalyst." *dramatic pose* and then seconds later, "WHY ME?!?!?!?!"

What happened in the first 5 minutes before Suresh started talking to Papa Petrelli about Claire being the catalyst?
