If you had a kid, and you might, wouldn't you rather say boobies and crap or the other terms? It is pretty universal for most parents I would say. Thus why those words would be censored instead of others. So since you understand that this board has kids on it, which means you understand the words we censored, your suggestion it to go even further and censor boobies and crap? Really?

I've written a reply to this, but if I posted it, there'd be kids across the country asking, "Mom, what's that word?" So may I PM it?

I just put you both on my hit list. You'll hear from my spokesperson, Colossal Spoons.

I was talking to Lunar and Chaester. You snuck in.

So does anyone have an idea of who Hooded Justice used to be?

We're smarter than we look. People have the impression that they can mask IPs and do all sorts of trickery, problem is we have advanced way beyond that. I probably shouldn't be telling you this, but I am daring.

Just clean it up and post it here.

I come from the George Carlin school of thought. In other words, consistency is a good thing. Crap means the same as s***. Boobies means the same as t***. If I had a kid, and he used the word s***, I wouldn't mind. If, however, he said to a female guest, "Nice boobies.", I'd reprimand him. Why? Because you shouldn't say that to a woman, not unless you're a grown man, and her lover, and you're in a bedroom alone with her ... and she doesn't have a headache ... but anyway, would I give the kid a worse reprimand if he used the word t*** instead? No, because both words mean the same thing. Neither word is worse than the other. As Carlin said, there are no "bad words". There are bad thoughts, there are bad intentions, there are no "bad words".

Having said all that, I wouldn't want my kid knowing words that have any sexual connotations. ****, ****, ********er, mother****er, and t*** are not words I would want my kid knowing. I don't want him knowing what it means to **** someone. I don't want him knowing what a **** is. I don't want him knowing what to suck ****, or to **** your mother, means. And I don't want him knowing what t*** are either, because, most of the time when that word is used, it's used in a sexual way. Kids shouldn't engage in sex until they're 18. But if a kid doesn't know any of those words by the time he's 13, IMO, he's a pretty ****ed up kid.

Anti-censorship rant over.

I love how mods just HAVE to act like they're members of Checkmate.

It's like playing cowboys and indians all over again.

Spell my name right Showtunes:cmad:

That's the cleaned up version? I'm almost kicking myself for telling you to post it.

That thought process is all enlightened and stuff, but that isn't the way we roll. If we ran the Hype like George Carlin lived his life the site would have been down by now.

By "enlightened and stuff", do you agree with me at least in principle?

Regarding what I bolded, as Carlin might also say, "I can dream, can't I?"
