$UCCE$$!

I hope it outgrosses The Winter Soldier and Pacific Rim! So it will end up at number five!

We'll be above 650m WW after this weekend. 700m is closer and closer.

I know a lot have credited the newly expanded overseas market to DoFPs OS success, but we really need to give the film a bit more credits. It's holds overseas have been incredible. A total 180 when compared to its domestic hold.

I hope it can go one better and come in above IM3, that would be pleasing to become the highest ranking Marvel film at China's box office, another achievement for the films growing list.

Was it the updated China numbers that got the WW to 619 million? it was 610 yesterday.

Most Tuesday's BOM updates the OS gross with Monday's numbers. It made about 6.7 on Monday.

Looks like a solid $20m+ week OS.

Ahh, it's a new thing then, haven't noticed that anyway. Except after the 4-day weekend but I thought it was special.

Estimated $2.0 million Tuesday, up 15%, which brings its domestic total to $193.3 million, closing in on Spidey.

If it got up to 2 million on Tuesday that's very good.DOFP has now outgrossed
the adjusted gross of Origins. With aamzing spider-man 2 hoving around 196 million DOFP may pass it by friday assuming projections hold up.

To me, 700 million WW seems more like an inevitability than a possibility. I feel it in my butt.

Depends on the OS drops this week and next :cwink:

This, but if it pulled off 6.7 million overseas Monday it should at least pull another 40 (probably more) through Sunday. So WW should be well over 660 come Monday if that holds up.

Still don't think it beats X3 but I think it's got a great chance of beating x2 domestic

I'm more impressed with it (almost) beating a contemporary Spider-Man film at the domestic box office.

Yea - it's definitely going to pass TASM 2 domestic and it looks like it could potentially match or exceed even CA:TWS internationally as well at $709M.

TASM2 performed so poorly that it was pretty much bound to happen.
But yeah an X-Men film beating a Spider-Man film domestically and overseas (which will happen as well) is a rare sighting which deserves recognition.

May beat it in every way

I'm impressed that most considered xmen pretty much done with it's current series box office wise but this movie domestically beat/will beat

Both hulks
Thor 1-2
Cap America 1
Asm2

And worldwide could or has beaten all those plus iron man 1, both Thors, both captain Americas, spiderman 2 and both hulks and man of steel

yeah, and that speaks volume about X-Men potential. Its a huge superhero universe, and a team comic, so it should be where it deserves, with the big leagues.

This movie proved that it officially reemtered the big leagues.

I don't even consume alcohol but I'm breaking out the champagne when it passes Spidey domestically and hopefully internationally.

imo, it wouldnt have so much merit, taking into account that we are comparing it to a Spiderman reboot, while Dofp is XMen 7 movie with an stellar cast. Its an unfair comparision.

If this was Spiderman 4, with original cast, Tobey and co, then yeah, I would be celebrating, but since its the reboot with young actors.... I dont feel it.

I'm curious to know how long it will stay in theaters in China given it's legs there. Cap2 had good legs -- it took in 7.5 million it's fifth week and was #5 -- and it didn't get a sixth week. Kind of side-eying that decision making.
