Isn't it nice to pass the amazing spider-man 2 and say a X-Men film beat Spider-man.

I am hping DOFP can pass the 206 Million Thor the Dark World made before leaving theatres
domesticly.

@BoxOffice
X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST took in an estimated $2.63M on Friday. Domestic total now stands at $199.07M. #XMEN #DOFP

Passes TASM2.

$200 million tomorrow.
That must be a huge ouch to Sony. Spidey has grossed less than both Captain America: The Winter Soldier and X-Men: Days of Future Past in North America.

EDIT: Marvelrobbins the film is going to be at 205mil after this weekend, there isn't any doubt that it's going to pass The Dark World very soon.

It looks like ASM3 Is being delayed till 2017.While that could be to work more on script it also could be so SInster six film can come out in 2016 and lead to ASM3.

Spidey, what's your personal guess for final domestic AND foreign gross at this point?

DoFP will pass TDW soon, but it is looking really iffy whether ASM2 will. Which would mean that in a little over a year Spider-Man will have been out grossed by an X-Men movie, a Captain America movie, a Thor movie, a Superman movie, and an Iron Man movie.

ASM2 will not pass TDW, only goal now is to crawl pass $200M.

I heard The World Cup hurts movies overseas and I've never been good at overseas projections so I want to see how the weekend goes before guessing.

As for domestic, it's subject to change but if it continues to get decent weekdays and weekend drops as well as hold on to enough theaters 220 to 225mil.

Where would Spidey get the legs and screens to pass Thor: The Dark World Ramsus? I'm projecting 203ish for Spidey. I could be wrong but I don't have any doubt that it's not going to pass The Dark World.

All Spidey has is that China inflated international number propping it up. Funny thing is if Sony keeps the budgets down they could keep Spidey for years to come and make money off of his films.

I suspect it probably won't but I stopped paying attention to the ASM dailys a while back so I left that opening.

Seriously, if by November of this year we don't hear of any major restructuring/firing going on at Sony due to this, I'll be very surprised.

Nice that Father's Day is going to give us a much better weekend drop here in the states, since The World Cup will certainly effect us overseas. We'll find out tomorrow.

I never thought it would make more than Spidey. How is it looking against Cap 2?

The show I saw this morning was pretty crowded.

I also got to tell everyone who stuck around who that was in the end credits scene. Someone had yelled out, "Did anyone know who that was?!"

Domestically no chance against Cap. Its at 255 million while X-Men is just reaching 200 million Should beat it world wide.

I'm just shaking my head at the holds Maleficent is getting when a far more superior movie in DOFP has been getting bad legs in comparison. Ugh :(

I just hope Malificent doesn't outgross DOFP in America!

And its nice to see DOFP outgrossed Amazing Spider-Man 2.

I think $220 million is a lock :D

Unfortly it looks like Malificent will braking all the predictions. For some strange reason It's holding on too well.

22 Jump Street shows who Laure Shueller Donner got Channing tatum to play
Gambit. It defently won't shock me after listening to Kinberg's latest podcast.

Right there with you.Ignoring what I feel about disney these days the trailer and TV spots did nothing for me.Even critics and audence reaction on RT Is lower than DOFP.

Remember what I told you about these Disney live action films a while ago? That no matter the critical reception, they'll make money?:oldrazz:

Estimated $3.55 million Saturday. 35% increase. May do $9 million+ depending on how much Father's Day helps the Sunday drop.

John Carter and The Lone Ranger didn't. Or do you mean live action adaptations of their animated properties?

That's only 2 out of how many successful ones? I meant live action adaptations. Alice in Wonderland made a billion and that film was just awful imo. 95% of the time, these films are very successful even sometimes when they're not good. It's baffling really. I knew Maleficent was gonna make money when I saw it at a press screening.
