Well it has been a great ride so far, I mean the fact that the X-Films dont usually do mega money means this is positive for the future. Plus the positive feedback the film has gained will help for apoc and also as much as I like the film, the mixed feedback that spidey 2 seems to have had means that more people may want to invest in a different franchise. Purely because people are a fickle bunch :P

It would really have to fizzle out WW not to hit 700 Million WW before leaving theatres.

We are getting to point there Isn't much to discuss on DOFP till it hits DVD/Blu-Ray and more Information comes out about APocalypse.And we may not hear anymore till Fox confirms is Bryan Singer still directing.If SImon Kinberg shows up at Comic Con for FF or Star Wars he might say something else about Apocalypse.

I am still hoping for Singer cause he changed a lot of terribly written scenes that may have not worked on screen from Kinberg's early draft.


For being an Xmen film 700 million is amazing. Even though it will fall over 70 million short of Xmen3 adjusted domestic take it still stomped overseas. let's face it, OS is where it is at. Even Bluray has begun to tailor it's discs for OS. More money!

I had to buy a region free player in order to see some major extras for many films that the US discs just don't offer.


Theatrical has been in decline here for many years and growing overseas because many countries are getting digital screens.

Well based on those who saw early version of DOFP script everyone should hope Singer does direct Apocalypse although Mike Dougherty and Dan harris are working on Apocalypse
script as well as Kinberg.I can only comment on early version as others described it.

Also, next week DOFP should slide into its rightful spot as staking claim to the #16 comic-book film of all-time domestically. It will pass the unadjusted X2. As for the overseas it will end its run being in the top 15 of all-time unadjusted comic-book films.

you always seem to twist my word as i have wronged you in some way. Never did I say HE WILL NOT BE DIRECTING. I said I would almost bet he wouldn't be. There is no predictions, no false scoops, no insider information. Stop trying to make something out of nothing and READ before you BLAST someone.

It's called predictions. I do not know anyone in the industry, I do not have any false scoops, insider information. I base my stuff on reading the NET. The theater drop hasn't happened yet but based on Godzilla's weekly drop in theaters you can bet it will be up to 1000.

I just felt that there is to much with those lawsuits. I honestly believe that it is not true. But, this is a business and businesses have to look at the botton line.

Can't blame people for doubting what you say after certain information you posted in the past that you claimed to be from articles online that did not exist, or some random radio report that was so far away from the actual figure.

And isn't it already proven that Singer wasn't involved in that thing since he was filming at the supposed time that he committed the allegations?

Nope. Both the film and the cast were very well received. Best X-Men Movie on RT.

Nope, highest WW number for any X-Men Movie and the biggest X-Men Movie in a lot of countries.

It's a tough situation for Fox because I strongly doubt they'll be able to find a director as good as Singer on such short notice. I'm sure most of Apocalypse has been planned already so a new director won't be able to bring his own voice to the table.

It's a tricky one for me. I think the X-Men films are better with his involvement so with respect to a good film I want him back. However, when you're in the public eye you come under extra scrutiny and his teenage parties... I don't know, it feels like his comeuppance if he was dropped and a message to the industry concerning abuse of power and money.

It's a civil suit. He won't be found guilty or not guilty...Most likely someone just wanted money. Once that's happened, the suit (usually) has been settled.
